Very comfortable, relaxed, fun atmosphere! Comfortable place to gather with a group of friends. Love the way it is laid out ... very open. Will go back again on our next trip Up North :)
Not much to say about the restaurant since we only went for drinks and games, but it seems to be an okay place after we spent over two hours there. We were a little perturbed by the bartender’s attitude. There was only one bartender and what seemed to be a couple of locals on a Wednesday night at 8pm in... More
The "Key West" atmosphere drew us into the Tipsy Turtle and we were not disappointed. From the Southernmost Buoy photo to the Tiki Bar and Mile 0 sign, the place is a little bit of Key West in Eagle River, Wisconsin. I ordered, at the recommendation of the owner/bartender, the Raspberry Daiquiri. I was NOT disappointed! It was excellent! I... More
Great bar to entertain out-of-town guests. Fun beach decore and music. Excellent drinks. Nice open air area to eat/drink. Even bean bag toss game outside to play. Food is very good, but a bit pricey.
Neat name, which is what drew us in, but just average service. Only 5 customers were at the bar when we arrived, but it took quite a while to get the bartenders attention. It was disappointing because this location near downtown is great. We would have stopped there more if service had been better.
The Tipsy Turtle has an island feeling -- Jimmy Buffett Music, Margaritas, Dos Eques... They have good fish sandwiches and peel-and-eat shrimp. The service is good and the servers friendly and efficient. The prices are a bit high for the area, but the food and service is dependably good. This restaurant is open only in the Summertime (Memorial Day to... More
Open seasonally, The Tipsy Turtle is a fun little hangout in downtown Eagle River. Hints of Key West in the simple decor, a selection of food is available to eat either inside or in the outdoor courtyard. Certainly worth a stop!
The owner is a jerk and knows nothing about customer service. He would rather just sit at the bar drinking beer. The food was way over priced for the quality. Would never recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Went for lunch. The salad was good. Went for dinner, with the whole family. Husband had fish that he liked, but the rest of us were not crazy about our meals. Better places to go to.
