Vegetarian restaurant with an adorable goat for our kids to watch. Also a very unique gift shop with art from local artists. Only open for lunch.
Very happy with our lunch. Soup, fresh green salads, rich and delicious sweet potato casserole, hummus/artichoke sandwich, hearty bread. Couldn't ask for more. Only wish we had made it back for another meal. Nice gallery, too. Very friendly and helpful staff.
This place is unusual when you arrive, not totally knowing what to expect . You walk from the lot and through gardens or through the shop area and voila you in an open air garden retreat with a few outdoor tables and artwork and fish pond and fruit trees and even a goat! There is some seating inside; but why... More
Stumbled across Cafe Ono and what a gem, tucked away at the end of a road, peaceful gardens await, option to eat inside or outside. Had a fabulous lunch of quiche, soup, salad and bread, all fresh and home made, while enjoying the beautiful gardens. The owner stopped and chatted with us, very friendly. They also have an awesome gift... More
Cafe Ono is located on the grounds of the Volcano Garden Arts Gallery. It specializes in fresh food that is largely vegetarian. The dining area is very little but the food is good. We did have a bit of a challenge finding this cafe not realizing it was at the end of Old Volcano Road. Just keep driving...you'll find it. We stopped in for lunch. I had the vegetarian chili with rice which was flavorful and delicious and not too spicy. My husband had the soup and lasagna which he also enjoyed. They... More
We had been told by the ladies at Volcano Village Lodge that this was the best place in town for a vegetarian lunch. Sorry, ladies, but we were disappointed. Pros: The outside seating and art museum is very nice. The grounds are nice and fun for a short walk. Cons: Our food was a total disappointment. I ordered a salad... More
Our Volcano host brought us to the Volcano Garden Arts gallery and gift shop and here we had lunch at the Cafe Ono. The food is vegetarian, fresh, creative and delicious. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend Cafe Ono. They are in the little town called Volcano and just a short drive from the entrance to the volcano park. Excellent food, vegan options, great personal service and a neat property. The only drawback is not much seating inside. But they have options for outside seating.
