Description: Mama's Fish House is actually a converted beach house in a coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach. Inside, hinged windows open to let in the trade winds and Polynesian artifacts and original oil paintings decorate tropical hardwood walls. The rooms are filled with spectacular flower arrangements and tapa print cloths cover the tables. Outdoor dining is equally exciting, and everyone enjoys watching the windsurfers performing offshore.

We went to Mama's Fish House because three separate friends recommended it for its romantic ambiance and great food. The setting is gorgeous - coconut grove fronted beach - and there is an air of tropical elegance to the grounds with Hawaiian music playing in the background. Additionally, we had "front-row" seats (glassless window, facing the ocean), contributing to the... More

We were forewarned of the expense so we went prepared. My two teenage daughters can be picky eaters. They each had a steak cooked well done, which irritates some fine dining establishments. They also ordered simplified sides, Fries and white rice. The waiter was extremely helpful making sure he got it just right. My wife and I had the stuffed... More

Dropped in to Mama's as we were passing and I'd heard a little about the place from TA blogs, the location is superb set on a small beach palms swaying etc. We didn't have a reservation but as it was only 4 in the afternoon I thought it shouldn't be a problem, nothing available! But after a short 45min cocktail... More

Mama's is one of those "one of a kind" reasons you go traveling to visit. The coconut palm shaded beach with the tidal pools carved out of black lava and the beaches other worldly entrance way let you know this is not just another expensive resort restaurant with modern pacfic rim or Japanese design. Every thing here is a work... More

Yes it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Every bite of food is awesome. The surroundings give you a true Hawaiian experience. A must-do when visiting Maui.

The decor, location and premises are beautiful and wonderful for pictures. The food is good but definitely not worth the price. Also the service wasn't out of this world or in line with the expense. If you have money to burn and don't mind getting ripped off go there but if you care about getting a good deal you'll be... More

We went to Mama's Fish House due to all the great reviews on TripAdvisor. And, I just had to add mine as well. There have been a couple of negative reviews and I think they must have gotten mixed up on their restaurants. This place is fabulous. First of all it's on the ocean with the most amazing sunsets I've... More

We made Reservations 2 weeks in advance in order to get the time of evening we wanted and table with the best view. It had been 13 years since we had been to Mama's Fish House. It was just as divine as we remembered it be. I recommend arriving early so you can take photos amongst the palm trees on... More

Was staying in Lahina, so had a bit of a drive to track this place down, but it was worth it. If you plan to do the "road to Hana" drive, this is a great place to stop and eat. Food was excellent, nice gourmet touch on everything. The inside of the restaurant is very tastefully decorated in a mariner's... More

I agree with all the earlier reviews about price - it is a bit spendy but if you're looking for a special treat - this is the place. The setting is Hawaiian heaven. Swaying palm trees, outrigger canoe, sandy shore, beautiful blue water and of course, the menu is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. A great memory maker for visitors!
