I have stopped here walking down Tremont St both for the amazing coffee and cheesecake, although macaroons are incredible too. I don't mind price for value, but a regular coffee and cheesecake will set you back $10, a nice lunch somewhere else, and tables are usually full at all times of the day. Stumbled upon this walking to nearby hotel. Pleasant counter staff and great pastry/sandwich selection. Very nice, if not superior, alternative to Starbucks. Tight quarters, but good ambience. You can get a view of Boston Common by the window.
