I first learned about Levain from TripAdvisor & was shocked to discover that a cookie joint was rated #3 out of 8,000+ food locations so I added it to the list of possible places. To be honest, I didn't think much of it until locals started raving about it too. After brunch on a rainy Sunday, we happened to be... More

Chocolate chip walnut cookie is my favorite. Costs $4.00 each and there is no way I could eat the entire cookie alone. They are soft and delicious and warm A must if you are in NYC!

We visited the bakery in February and I haven't been able to eat any other cookie since then. You cannot overstate how good they are. Served still warm, the crispy outside and melted chocolate chips inside make them more like a decadent dessert than "just a cookie." We've had to have them shipped to us twice since we returned home.... More

I generally don't even eat cookies but these are absolutely out of this world. A must try for anybody. We got stuck in a two hour traffic just because of them but it was worth the drive. Tried out of curiosity and now hooked!

If you're looking for a serious chocolate fix, head straight to Levain Bakery for their chocolate chocolate chip cookie...but make sure to lift weights first...this is a heavy one!!! At $4 (and what feels like 2 lbs a piece!), the cookie is a mound of moist, "brownie-like" cookie with plenty of gooey chocolate chips. If you can resist eating the... More

I've never tasted a cookie so damn good in my entire life. When you walk by the door of this simple place you can't imagine what you're about to taste. Perfect! I'm going to miss this place.

This is just a small place offering a small variety of cookies and cakes. I was expecting a larger range given the great reviews, however what we ate was delicious. I had a tasty oats and raisin rock shaped cookie. It was huge and so I nibbled on it all day! My husband had some lovely lemon cake.

went there after reading a post about the place on the net. the place is quite small, just enough space for a take away. They make coffee, tea, iced tea, ... and their famous cookies. When i got there, there were 4 differents choices, dark choc w/ peanut butter; oatmeal cookies and others that i can't remember. They cost 4$... More

All cookies are good. But Levain bakery's cookies are awesome. Cookies with chocolate or raisin. Scones. It's difficult to choose from them. With tea or without. In the morning or in the evening. Whenever you prefer. A cookie delight for every cookie lover. A line for it stands at any weather even when it rains. It is stylish to come... More
