We called in for bagels mid afternoon after the lunchtime rush. We had the smoked salmon bagel with far too much cream cheese which we carefully removed.Was great to sit and watch the range of customers coming in to stock up on bagels and flavoured creamcheeses.We were glad we made the effort to find it.

These big bagels are really wonderful. They're crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I was so excited to go to Ess-a-bagel since it was on almost everyone's "best" list. The bagels were good but it was hard to enjoy them since they were smothered with cream cheese. If I could do it over I would order one with just butter so I could enjoy the taste of the bagel.

A visit to NYC is not complete with bagels, and Ess-a-Bagel's are the best in town! I especially love the pumpernickel, sesame, and salt bagels.
