We spent a few days in Astoria and tried several restaurants for lunch and dinner. This was the best of them. Food was fresh and well prepared, including a contemporary touch. We went there because a person that was not from Astoria recommended the place. Funny enough, a lady that worked at the Flavel museum, while making some recommendations, had... More

This establishment is a good restaurant aspiring to fine dining and just not quite there yet. We enjoyed our meal and would return but with somewhat lower expectations than we entered the first time. There were flashes of excellence that justify the very good rating. An appetizer of oysters with a habenero mignotte was outstanding. The oysters were huge, fresh... More

The food is top notch and has a modern, "foodie" aspect. Really exellent and fresh and a good wine list. We had heard it was tough to get in, but we had no trouble whatsoever. The service was very friendly and very helpful. Terrific, original cooking.

Our second trip to Astoria in late May / Early June for the second year in a row. Again we tried Clemente's but this time is was even worse than last. Ridiculous, in fact. We had six people. 5:30 reservation. The place was NOT CROWDED by any means. The service was absurdly neglectfully slow. And the food, while certainly not... More

This by far is the BEST restaurant in the area. The chic modern decor is clean and inviting; comfortable yet polished. The Pinot Gris suggested by the waiter was crisp and so refreshing, a terrific choice to go with the best of local oysters. The Halibut and chips were the freshest and most delicious ever, prepared to perfection. The side... More

Don't waste your money and appetite on the crab cakes. I've never ever been served crab cakes with so little crab. And the server didn't seem to care at all. There was no gesture to make it right. The fish of the fish&chips was good. Quality fresh made dill tartar sauce; fresh made ketchup with a refreshing hint of clove.... More

Huge corner, but easy to miss as a restaraunt. Obviously built for retail with floor to cieling windows, portions not in proportion to window size. Try another one of Astorias fine restaraunts

Late lunch in Astoria. We both got fish and chips. The portions were a little small, the batter was not very crunchy, but the homemade cocktail and tarter sauces were good. Might come back for an evening cocktail sometime:)

It's no secret, I love love seafood. I was visiting my sister and bro in law in Astoria and my friend and her baby with me. We had a jolly old time slurping down oysters, drinking some finely crafted cocktails and enjoying ourselves. It didn't matter who ordered what, everything was delicious. We had seared ahi, clams, crab cakes and... More
