Walk in take a deep breath and you'll be in love! The pralines are so good you wont want to share! My kiddo and I loved watching them making the pralines too.

Candy is a little expensive but the best things usually are...but they are big on letting you try a bite before buying. My favorites were the chocolate/peanut turtles. Mouth is watering just thinking about them!!!!

Southern Candymakers is definitely a must "go-to" shop when in New Orleans. They have a wide variety of chocolate covered nuts, fruit, and pralines. SOOOO good!! You can pick and choose all your favorites and the helpful staff will package them for you to enjoy or bring home as gifts. The little, chocolate alligators are so cute and very tasty.

We get pralines at many different cities and these were the best! The store was full of so many yummy treats. I really wanted to try the chocolate covered strawberries but was to full from dinner. But I put in for a catalog and will definitely be ordering from them!

Everything looks so good. The smell alone makes your mouth water! Friendly staff. Would stop by again if in the neighbourhood.

We nearly bought pralines in a box from a souveneir stand and are SO GLAD we didn't! Southern Candymakers has a very unassuming presence at the end of the block and we almost missed it. Pralines that tantalize the taste buds. Fudges that have the flavor made for kings. I will definitely be visiting there again.
