everything from the chocolates to the macarons to the incredible gelato flavors - you cannot be disappointed - open late too
We stopped in Sucre for a cool snack while shopping Magazine Street. It has inside and outside seating. It is very cute and clean inside, with gelato and other sweet treats available. We had strawberry and cafe au lait. The strawberry was perfectly sweet and smooth, while the cafe au lait was a carbon copy, just in frozen form.

There are probably only a handful of places to get gelato in New Orleans, and Sucre is a great option! It's smooth and sweet, and they have plenty of flavors to choose from! A bit pricey, but any gelato place would be (since they'd only have it on Magazine or around the Quarter). We didn't get to try anything, but...

Of course we are always looking the perfect macaron since we're not in Paris to visit LaDuree...and we were pleasantly surprised to taste the offerings at Sucre. Lovely shop, soft candy colors everywhere, homemade gelato and chocolates...and really good macarons. Pistachio, caramel du del and more attractively displayed and boxed for gift giving...or snacking on the road!

I was told about this place by a friend who used to live in New Orleans and decided to check it out for myself. It was AMAZING! I had the XOCOLAT Sucre and also tried their gelato. Both we great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back on my next trip!
This place is a real treat! The staff are awewome and aim to please. Had a fantastic brownie, warmed and covered in chocolate sauce. Highly recommend!
My wife and I went here twice because the macaroons are incredible! I would recommend the salty caramel and the chocolate dipped macaroons.....especially the salty caramel...it's perfect! However, they are very expensive...about $2.25 to $2.50 each.
At lunch the service was efficient and friendly.
Later in the evening they had several very young girls working there and their attitude was...
