The gulf shrimp were great and the grits were very creamy smooth. One of our party had the pork but decided the garlic was a bit much. One had the crabcakes but likes the California style better.

This was our final meal during a long weekend trip to New Orleans and it was fantastic! It was a little more upscale that we had planned. Normally I wouldn't feel comfortable taking my 2 year old there, but they were prepared with crayons & coloring books. We had a couple of appetizers (garlic truffle fries, soft shell crab), a... If you believe that, then you will LOVE this place. The foods are traditional NOLA and about the best examples you will find in New Orleans. And they are full of butter! Make this the place where you splurge after walking for hours around the city. And the berry cobbler - divine!!!

I used to make Mr. B's Bistro a regular stop on every one of my trips to Nola. Their BBQ shrimp is served heads-on and smothered in a rich, buttery, peppery sauce that is perfect for dipping their warm soft french bread into. It really is a wonderful meal. They also have a pear cosmopolitan that tastes light and refreshing;... More

I had lunch in Mr. B's Bistro in May 2013 when I was in New Orleans for the ANA Money Show. The restaurant is located at 201 Royal Street. The lunch was incredibly good and priced right - I had the lunch special -- which consisted of the soup du jour - eggplant with oyster soup and pan fried blackened... More

This visit to Mr. B's was just as good as my first 2 year earlier. This time we sat at the bar and ordered from the bar menu because we came at 4 pm and main dinning room was still closed. I had barbecued shrimp and the souce was out of this world, I thought that it was quite spicy... More

MaryKay was my server, and the service was excellent. They must get a discount on ice, as all the glasses at every table were filled to the brim with ice. But, she or someone else was there to fill it with water, a good thing as there were only a few swallows of water in the glass. The seafood gumbo... More

We went on the recommendation of this website. I can tell you neither my husband or I were disappointed! The Barbecue Shrimp was excellent, the service was wonderful. We would go back again for sure!

This place is very popular so make a reservation before going. The food is excellent, southern style, with lots of good seafood on the menu. We enjoyed our waiter who was so pleasant and had a great sense of humor.

This is our first night in N.O. (35th) anniversary. My wife is allergic to cayenne pepper. Our server (Renata) went above and beyond to find out what choices were available. Throughout the dinner she was exceptional. The food was absolutely the best. Seafood gumbo terrific. Shrimp with Tasso was perfect. For my wife the chicken with garlic and a wedge... More
