The filet was to die for. Everything about this restaurant was superb, including service, wine, and food. I loved the filet while others in my group loved the halibut, a house specialty.

Our food was delicious and it was a lovely special evening, but you can get food & ambiance just as nice for less money in Anchorage. The caesar salad prepared table side was delicious but really just a novelty when you consider the exorbitant cost. When I booked the table (mid-week in mid-January) I told them it was my birthday... Very friendly staff and superb food. The lobster bisque is excellent, as is the Neapolitan seafood mousse. Space is limited, so you will be seated close to others, but I've never had a problem with that - just makes the experience that much better in my opinion!

#1 for quality cuisine in all of Alaska, if not the Northwest. Not much argument there. A close second is Chef Al's Kincaid Grill, if there is a third, it is distant. Do not go to either one of these just to eat. Be in a good mood, put on a tie (not required) and make an evening out of... More

We had a lovely meal at Marx brothers. Pheasant, White salmon! Good wine list. Good service. We watched one of the owner chefs make a caesar salad table side. Very friendly and great ambience - it seemed like a place for locals.

My friend was in town from out of state, and Marx Brothers was featuring their anniversary special (4 courses for $33 for their 33rd anniversary). Once again, the food was fabulous! The first course was a beet salad with an Asian flair including micro greens and roe. The next course consisted of two smoked salmon blini with a poached quail... More

Definitely the place for that special occasion. The owner greeted us at the door and we were treated with excellent service throughout the meal. We had the halibut and quail and they were by far some of the best food we had on our vacation. The chocolate mousse was great! The restaurant was in a beautifully restored house and we... More
