An excellent place to eat! I live in anchorage and I love their all you can eat brunches on Easter and Mother's Day!
This place is a total tourist trap for Alaska. The food was just average, not much different than Applebees's (which is cheaper and better really). The food is overpriced and is just simply not worth it. When visiting Anchorage, there are much better places to enjoy eating out at like Moose's Tooth, Glacier Brew House or Roadrunners to name a...

One price on the menu but the server tells you the real price after you've decided what to order. Fake butter on the most expensive item on the menu. Combative server.
We were seated quickly however ordering were slow due to either lack of servers or customers. Servers were very friendly and polite. I ordered their special steak and snow crab. The crab came with four legs and tasty and good. The steak was over cook and chewy with little flavor. The price was expensive.
Overall servers were nice and friendly,...

There was a time when if you got to eat at Sourdough mining you flet you won the lottery. That was when Reagan was president. The quality of food here is slipped to the point of silliness, and the bathrooms are the same as you guessed it, they were in "85.
WHat this plac eis now is for tourist in...

We visited on Easter Sunday for a late brunch. Didn't realize until we got there they have a huge buffet, only on Easter and Mother's Day, though.
The spread was great. Prime rib, ham, ribs, chicken (BBQ and fried), plus all the sides such as potatoes, corn, etc. They also had all the breakfast menu items, eggs, bacon, sausage, french...

We have visited this place twice in the four years that we have lived in Anchorage. The first was on a busy Sunday afternoon. After 30 min. of waiting on someone to take our drink order, we gave up and left. Fast forward 2 years and we decided to give it a second try. This time the service was a...

Well, this place takes you to the gold mine atmosphere with its decor. We were with a group of 15 and were served family style with plenty of good food - sourdough rolls & honey butter to start. Then slaw, fritters, waffle fries, and plates of bar-b-que chicken or ribs, & ice cream with toppings for dessert. Served hot &...

We ate with a group 3/5/13. Service was very good with large helpings of food. Top place to eat, especially in the winter when things are a little slower.
Atmosphere is a barn! The decor is fun...the place is lively...kids are very welcome. If you're looking for a quiet date...this is NOT the place. But bar-b-que ribs, chicken, beans, the works!!! Good value and fun with the Alaskan twist.
