Had breakfast here on a Saturday. Just beat the crowds that lined up waiting for a table! Located in an old building, the Thumbs serves incredible breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with salmon, caramelized onions, and cheese, along with a wonderfully toasted bagel. Perfectly prepared and a great pairing of flavors. Add cheerful and efficient service, and you have a... More

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is great! Especiallly If you like southern food. But they only take cash, so stop at the ATM before you get there.

It's small with tight parking in a small retail/light industrial area close to downtown, but don't let a little inconvenience deter your from the "skillet heap," a base of fried potato slices smothered in cheeses, eggs, and any number of meat or veggie additions, including turkey options. Great cup of smooth coffee, and many interesting egg concoctions. Unless you time... More

Good food downtown, reminds me of a breakfast version of Roscoe's. A couple of quick points you must pay in cash and there will be a line. Food is generally inexpensive and the portions are large. The area is a lil cramped inside, but besides that its great. I got the chicken and waffles with cheese eggs while the misses... More

Our first time in Atlanta, this place was great. We returned this March with a small group of children and were very disappointed. You had to seat yourself, which meant that people who should've been at a table for 2 were at a table for 6, leaving the smaller tables available. We waited quite a while for our food, even... More

I visited Thumbs Up on a busy Saturday at around 1:00 pm. There was about a 20 minute wait to seat my party of four at one of the 20 or so small booths lining the walls. I lost track of time though because I was so busy people watching and taking in the atmosphere. The restaurant is definitely popular... More

The breakfast here is quite good, well seasoned, fresh made and well priced and plentiful. This place is super popular on weekends to the point of being mobbed. Best to go at off peak times.

Every time, this diner delivers! Great atmosphere, amazing food. The people are friendly. The pancakes and french toast are so good that it really can't be explained. You must go. You must bring visitors from abroad here during their stay(s).

We arrived Sunday morning around 11:00am and had to wait about 40 minutes. The weather was great compared to my home time New England so we didn't mind. We were seated in a nice comfy booth and given fresh coffee right away. I ordered one pancake with bananas and it was soooo good! The bananas weren't just tossed on top... More
