A local favorite since 1978, La Grotta has received Best of Atlanta Award from Atlanta magazine since the mid 1980’s, prestigious DiRONA and AAA Four Diamond Awards since the early 90's.
La Grotta is tucked away in the heart of the Buckhead residential district and overlooks the lush gardens of the condo courtyard in which it is located. La Grotta literally means "the cave" in Italian and was named such for its cavernous and warm setting. The La Grotta staff is also well known and regarded for its vast knowledge of its customers, the food, diverse knowledge of languages (our staff speaks Italian, Spanish, French & German) and attention to detail. The menu specializes in Northern Italian cuisine with seasonal changes to reflect freshness of ingredients with a focus on locally grown produce.

Some friends and I went to La Grotta for dinner last night to celebrate a couple of birthdays. What a delicious present indeed. La Grotta is located in the basement of a condo complex, but don't let the location fool you. I am always looking for a good Italian resturant. Last night while visiting Atlanta I found the best. This Atlanta gem served one of the best veal dishes I have had. The service was excellent. They even made a pasta dish that we requested that was not on the menu. I highly recommend.

Year after year, the food and service here is wonderful. And the prices are still very affordable. They have a stimulus menu that can't be beat, including a fine wine.

I've been here several times and always had a great meal with great service. One of the more formal places to eat in Atlanta, they encourage gentlemen to wear a jacket, but still worth the visit. A broad range of classic italian dishes, usually well prepared and definitely well served. Worth a visit, especially for those special occasions.

This is by far our first choice in fine dining in Buckhead. The service is excellent and the cuisine is outstanding! This is an experience and should be enjoyed with someone you want to impress with your good taste.

I've livied in Atlanta for over 25 years and finally made it to La Grotta. I have to say that I was a little disappointed. The service was excellent but the food was just not as good as all the hype and didn't merit the extravagant prices. The $10.95 glass of Chardonnay tasted like two buck Chuck...I had to pay...
