Traveling with Skippy our dog, we wanted carry out. They are terrible at offering his service. No to-go containers are provided, they just wrap up your meat choice in white paper and drop it in a paper bag. No plates or other amenities are provided.

We are visiting for a high school baseball tournament. I used to visit Rudy's often when I lived in San Antonio. This Rudy's once again confirmed that they are the king of brisket. Cream corn to die for! A cold beer yes, kid friendly. The best for $$$

Process is to wait in line, ask for how much and what kind of "meat" you want. They provide bread and you make your own sandwich...... Best part is prices. Food is OK.

My husband likes barbecue and had heard of Rudy's, so we stopped in for lunch. My husband first ordered the pulled pork, which is usually what he gets at barbecue places, but it didn't look that appealing to him, so he switched his order to the brisket instead. They didn't ask him to specify lean or moist, so I don't... More

If you like Barbaque - this is the place do go. No fancy trimmings, just plain good food. Brisket was smoked perfectly and you buy it by weight. Ribs, pulled pork, etc were on the menu. When I was standing outside, someone opened the door and that aroma of smoking meat beckoned me and my family. Staff was polite and... More

We ate here Memorial Day 2013 and came to it from reading Trip Advisor. The prior reviews were spot on! You buy the meat by the pound (this is a meat market selling cooked meat) so for 2 folks 1/2 # is plenty...well, maybe 3/4# if you are really hungry. We had the "moist" brisket which was quite good. You... More

My second visit passing thru. The meat takes center stage here and it is top notch . Lots of locals do take-out. Ultra ultra casual, noisy, picnic tables, self serve, cafeteria style. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the green chili stew as a side dish. Potato salad is so-so. Lather on the great sauce. Lean brisket is equal or better... More
