this is an excellent place. was a little bit "really? here?" when we got out of cab as the area isn't great....or rather the areas we drove through to get there weren't. The bar was excellent, the atmosphere was very family-like. The restaurant was packed (it was Sat night) and there were lots of Peruvians and Colombians (ok, so I... More

The food here (Peruvian/Bolivian) is different and excellent. Wonderful ceviches, among many other things. The service is very good. It is a family owned and run place, and people care. They do a good business, so if you do not have a reservation, be prepared to wait - but it's worth it.

Took 7 friends here who were new to the place. Not one of them had a complaint. Two of us had the Duck Confit & Scallop special - perfection. Everyone else had regular menu meals and everyone was impressed. Brian, our waiter was also perfection! Band was playing - loved that too.

It is truly a hidden gem in Providence, with the restaurant tucked away in an unassuming neighbourhood. Not knowing much about Peruvian and Bolivian foods, we picked the Pacumuto and the Milanesa de Pollo both served with rice. The meats were so well seasoned and prepared, and the rice was tasty. A great first time experience.

Originally I tried Los Andes based on the great reviews.. I have been 3x since. First parking is across the street in an office building parking lot. Although you can park on the street. The location near the VA could scare off some but I have never had an issue. Ignore the facade outside because this restaurant is excellent in... More

Los Andes takes its food very seriously, but it doesn't come with any self-important attitude, just flavorful excellence. Our group of four went on a Monday night, and the dining room was not crowded; it is on weekends, often with a line out the door. We went for variety, having three appetizers (Ceviche Martini, calimari, chorico) and an entree veal... More

The food was absolutely scrumptious, ranging from traditional Peruvian and Bolivian, to Peruvian inspired fusion. Caviche Martini is a must. Causa Limena is not bad at all, but no match for Anticuchos, which is outstanding! I have also tried fried kalamari but these were not at the same level as the rest of the appetizers mentioned above. My main course... More

The food, atmosphere, and service at Los Andes is great! If you go, you must try the Ceviche Martini - it is by far the best Ceviche I have ever had! They always have great specials with fresh seafood of the day. Definitely a great place to have dinner!

We tried to get a reservation here over graduation weekend and was initially told they were booked solid. They did take my name and they called back within an hour with a reservation. The servers are always fabulous and the food extraordinary. When we left, there was over an hours wait. That speaks to how good this place is.

Okay, so you know how they say location is everything? Well ignore that for this place. It's just outside the city (about a 15 minute drive) and the immediate environment may make you feel like you're in the wrong place. But if you get over that and go inside you'll fall in love (or not; we are all different after... More
