We were driving through San Antonio and had the chance to do brunch. Reservations are a very good idea in that it gets very busy. My meal was fantastic. I ate mustang chicken with potatoes. I wish I had room for dessert but that meal filled me up. We selected to eat on the patio and were very pleased. First... More

Great meal, we drove away from thecriverwalk and we ate so happy. Best shrimps chips ever, excellent soft crab and amazing pot roast. Great list of wines, we had an albariño from Spain. We loved it, i strongly recommend.

Although I am not from San Antonio I have spent a good deal of time there over the years. I have always included Cappy's as a "must go" on every trip. Food and service are always excellent. Very creative and unusual soups. I have never been disappointed. I get the sense that most of the clientele are long time regulars,... More

Bad service, cold food and waiter with an attitude. Went back a few months later and did not have a better experience. Waiter talked down to me and was upset when we sent food back instead of waiting we left.

This is our second Sunday brunch at this restaurant and everything was just as good as the first time. There were seven people in our party and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. From the warm delicious muffin baskets to the tasty main courses, there was not one compliant (other than being too full) to be heard. Our favorite entree is... More

Capped has great food and a great atmosphere. I was with a large group and they did an awesome job! While I was there I also heard the owner "Cappy" is a big supporter of teachers in San Antonio. I followed this dinner with dinner at Cappys on Main the next evening. It was awesome as well.

It's easy to forget when you go to San Antonio, that there are LOTS of other places to eat besides the riverwalk! I choose Cappy's because of it's #1 rating on Tripadvisor and they did not disappoint! The service was excellent and the food awesome. It's tucked back off the road and the atmosphere is very understated, until you hear... More

Recently a group of friends visited this restaurant and were greatly pleased by our experience. Sporting a good sized bar, a nice outdoor patio area, and an indoor dining room Cappy's has a physical plant to accomodate everyones likings. Couple that with a warm, welcoming and attentive staff and your halfway there. Then add an interesting, varied menu with dishes... More

What a wonderful oasis for great food and drink! We had our reservation and sat at the appointed time. The place was full but not packed. My wife chose the scallops as her entree. They were huge, sweet and tender. The black beans and rice accompanying were nice. I had the fried shrimp and oysters with a house salad. The... More

For some reason, Cappy's has odd hours of operation on Saturday (be warned). When we arrived, we were informed Cappy's was closed but we could dine at Cappycino's which is next door. The burgers were great and the white chili nachos were excellent. Portions were ample for lunch time dining and the wait staff aim to please. She even brought... More
