My wife and I decided to give La Frite a whirl and were so happy we did. The place is nice and quaint with a great atmosphere. Our server was wonderful. We ordered the basque mussels and a couple of small dishes to share. The endive salad was excellent and the shrimp fritters so tasty. The mussels however are the... More

The south side of San Antonio is becoming a place for new, hip restaurants. La Frite Belgian is a place to try. The food is excellent. You can choose from their menu or, go with the daily Prix Fixe. I tried their Prix Fixe and was not disappointed. The summer salad was a generous serving of mixed greens filled in... More

We were here on a busy Friday night. We didn't have reservations and we were seated in about 15 minutes. Several large parties were seated near us and the room soon became quite noisy. We asked to move and the waitstaff managed to accommodate us. We ordered the mussels provincial and vol-au-vent fruit de mer (puff pastry filled with a... More

The moules frites here is the best. One of our party eats mussels and fries whenever she can, and she has had many dinners of moules frites in France. She thought the moules frites here was the best she has ever had. That the price is reasonable is an additional bonus. There is also a nice selection of other dishes,... More

Great food in a very attractive building near a fascinating neighbourhood to walk thru after a great meal. I had a ham & cheese crepe and it was very good

I took a group of 6 out for a business dinner, looking for a break from tex mex (the group was from Mexico). We enjoyed a nice selection of beer, including Maredsous and other offerings that were perfect after a long day. The appetizers, escargot, salads and fries were all fresh, served promptly and devoured along with fresh home made... More

My husband and I were walking by and stopped in for lunch. I had a crêpe and he had the quail. We both enjoyed our lunch and our server was wonderful and helped with my wine choice to compliment the meal. I did not use the facilities so I cannot comment on the cleanliness. The dining area was clean and... More

Good Belgian food... but even better beers! Try some of the imported brews. They are excellent! I am a vegetarian and so they made a meatless crepe for me that was mouthwatering.

Food: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Service: 5 Cleanliness: 1 I love anything Belgium Food and Beer. We live locally and we have visited this place several times in the hopes that our experience will match up with the trip advisor and yelp ratings. However each visit proves to be more disappointing than the last. Yes, the mussels are great. If I... More

A small, intimate, family run, neighborhood oriented place to eat with palette tantalizing dishes we fell in love with on a trip to San Antonio. Just happened to pass by and were glad we stopped. You'll love it.
