Santa Fe Classic, on San Francisco, across from the Lensic. Good New Mexican food and excellent service in a setting that seems to have changed little over the last decades. The only problem is its popularity - with locals and visitors alike. Getting a table may be a challenge. During busy times, you will see people wandering nearby, window shopping,... More

If you want good, solid New Mexican food in a nice environment with good service then this is the place. It is affordable and offers a convenient place to eat while the strolling the town. This is not a high end place like Geronimo or the Compound but those are going to cost you a lot more.

Tia Sophia's has been been serving up great food for 38 years. We were having breakfast on 5/5/2013 and they had a big cake cerebrating their 38th anniversary. We had lunch one day and breakfast on another and both were real "Southwest" treats. Lots of charm and atmosphere, but nothing fancy, just outstanding down-to-earth Santa Fe style food. I agree... We tried Tia Sophia's on the reccomendation of a staff member at the O'Keeffe Museum. It is located a few blocks away, next to the muni parking garage and accross the street from the "burro". They are only open for breakfast and dinner. If you want high end decor this is not the place for you, it is clean and... More

It's a Santa Fe tradition when you are looking for more reasonable prices than most places at the plaza. But the hours that they are open are so odd that I seldom pass by when it's open. The enchiladas are okay, if you like them open faced.

I felt that at Tia Sophia´s there were more locals than tourists who all seemed to know each other, which made the atmosphere very friendly and cosy. Our waiter seemed to be in kind of a hurry as the restaurant was completely full (we still got a table right away), so we didn´t have a lot of time to decide,... More

The food was very fresh & delicious. Both American & New Mexican dishes that would satisfy anyone's taste buds. Great service!

Stumbled across this place for a late lunch. Other places near the square were a 45min+ wait, but we got straight in which was great. Menu isn't extensive but lots of yummy options. We ordered the "Saturday" special which was fantastic. Very light & tasty. We had the green chilli with it which wasn't hot at all. Good option for... More

If there is one thing I dearly miss about good old Santa Fe is Tia Sophia. This place is where you will find the best chile in town, which is almost as saying the best chile, period! The place is small, with the south west charm impregnated on every inch of the walls, seats, tables, faces, everything breathes of Santa... More

we came here for breakfast and was amazed at how good the food was. The atmosphere was vey homey and welcoming. One thing that they dont tell you is how large the portion sizes are, we could have split one meal between the two of us and still been stuffed. we would definitely come back to this place if we...
