Dress code and preset three, four, and Menu Dégustation. French with a Hawaiian twist. Food done to perfection, presentation is superb, wait staff tends to your every want without being obsequious and the view is all beach and ocean. Wine list is extensive and you will not leave hungry, portions are just right and the desserts, well just leave room.... More

If you read my reviews, you know that I can get grumpy at times. If I'm going to splurge on a grand night at a special restaurant, that's what I expect. I am often disappointed, and sometimes even beat myself up for coming off like 'The Princess and The Pea.' When people make me feel like a bother, or servers... More

La Mer has a superb location and offers an exquisite romantic dinner experience watching the ocean, you cannot see the sunset but can see the beautiful amazing colorings of the sky. If you sit at the Waikiki side then there is live music coming from "House Without a Key" restaurant and you still see the ocean, so it is your... More

This exceptional restaurant offers a 3,4 and 5 course tasting menu that is out of this world. We did the 5 course and while it was pricey, it was perfection for those wanting a romantic place to watch the sea and feel the tradewinds come through the large open windows while enjoying some of the most delicious food served in... My Wife and I dined at La Mer to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I advised them of the occasion when booking and they made sure that we had a special night. I also warned them that I don't eat meat and they happily modified my Entree and Main accordingly. Despite the fact that we dined on a Friday night,... More

I had eaten at the Halikalni's fine-dining restaurant 10 years prior and so we planned a romantic dinner at La Mer. The entire experience was a disappointment! We made the reservation early with some specific requests. The sunset was nice. We enjoyed that at least. The matre 'd seemed unaware of our requests and did a great deal of sighing... More

We recently ate at La Mer restaurant. It was a wonderful place to watch the sunset. My husband and I both had the 3 course menu. It was absolutely delicious and it was definitely enough food. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying the restaurant.

The dining room is truly beautiful, and the view over the ocean is spectacular. The service was very good, though not quite as sharp as one might expect. The food is certainly better than one finds at many resorts. But at $110 for the cheapest prix fixe, our one meal here should have been much more memorable. It the value... More

My husband and I were on a romantic vacation in Hawaii when we decided to splurge on this fabulous restaurant located in the upscale Halekulani Hotel, right on the water. This restaurant is not for the faint-of-heart when it comes to restaurant checks. You choose a three course, four course, or chef's table menu for (currently) $110, $145, and $175... More

Yes, the food was good. But it wasn't over the top, rock my world, never forget this night good. And for the price we paid, it freaking ought to be! The bill for two, with a modest two drinks each, and a three course meal (appie, main, dessert) came to just under $300. Add on tip and you have one... More
