We dined at alma because it came highly recommended by the owners at hotel nautilus--boy were they right! Everything is so fresh, carefully prepared and served with flair--do yourself a favor and get the tuna and/or sea food in bed of pineapple. This is quite unfortunate, but we only dined here twice (in a row) had we come earlier in... More

We ate at this restaurant a number of times during our stay in ST because it was so delicious! The menu is short but there is something to please most. The flavours and presentation of the food were excellent. What really makes your visit is the owner/chef personally bringing you each meal from the kitchen. She is so sweet and... More

We heard of Alma through a NY Magazine article of places to visit while in Santa Teresa. Lucky for us, our hotel ended up being just a 5 minute walk from Alma. After a long day of traveling, we went to Alma on our first night. We arrived on the early side, so we were the only people in the... More

My husband and I had a delicious meal here! The tuna was amazing and my husband says this was his favourite meal of the whole trip. The owner and chef was an absolute gem of a woman as well and sat and chatted with us as well as showing us the wonderful dome style accomidations they offer. The large mojitos... More

We were in Santa Teresa for a week and we went to eat at Alma three times! The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation very original, the location is beautiful and everybody there has been extremely nice and welcoming. We ate very well in Santa Teresa, but this place was by far the best one. The owner was extremely nice... More

The ceviches were extremely refreshing and creative, and the main courses just delicious (we went more than once). The owner, and chef, is one of the nicest people we met on our trip, and her employees were as warm and welcoming as her. Don’t worry, the alley looks like nothing from the street but there is a cozy place and... More

If you stay in Santa Teresa, go to this restaurant. We already had two meals during our holiday in Santa Teresa and we will go back for a third time, just to taste as much as we can from the menu. We had a great fish, meat, seafood dish and even some sushi, everything kind of fusion style, and all... More

My husband and I went to Alma for dinner last night and it was just wonderful! The menu was unpretentious with really something for everyone. The hot tuna sushi was fresh and a very large portion. The fresh fish - Mahi - was cooked to perfection and served with fresh veggies and a very light curry sauce. I really love... More

We decided to try Alma after reading all the amazing reviews. The food was good. Didn't blow my mind, but it was good. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic and the servers friendly. Their alcohol pours are generous, and their panko crusted shrimp was delicious.

Don't be fooled by the dirt driveway to Alma. At the top is a quaint gourmet restaurant to rival the top restaurants in the world. First impressions is of a cute well presented bar/restaurant. Small and clean with character. W ordered a piso sour and piña colada and were not disappointed. The pisco sour was made to perfection with the... More
