My mum (53) and I (23) found this restaurant on here and after the good reviews we thought we'd check it out.. We were not disappointed. Spyros is such a fun lover and a charmer, he was so attentive and lovely. The food is absolutely divine (you HAVE to try the meatballs!!) although we ordered wayyyy too much haha. The... More

The food here was amazing and large portions too. Traditional food at a good price. Spiros the owner is very friendly and welcoming. The setting is beautiful as the taverna sits under the illuminated cathedral - lovely

On entering we met Spyros himself who was totally attentive and charming (looks like an older version of Robert Downey jr) The food was of excellent quality and it was a very relaxed comfortable atmosphere. The village is very picturesque and well worth a visit.

Great food and drink (cappuccino was fantastic as was the Gyros) , presented by a great host. The Taverna had really atmosphere despite only having a few guests whilst we were there. It's worth... Spiros is a wonderful host and is a real show man. You just can't smile when you are at his Taverna. And of course food is very good - local but really top notch!

I stayed in Koutouloufari June 2012 with my partner and two friends. The 'boys' hired HUGE quads for two days so that we go explore the beautiful Island. After driving through the very busy built-up 'Blackpoolesque' towns we headed to the mountains and came across Spiros' Tavern purely by accident, we only stopped for a cold drink. How glad we... I visited Spyros Taverna with my sister and my children last August. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. Spyros' hospitality was second to none. If I ever have the chance I will definitely visit again this charming little Taverna.

My wife and I walked by Spyros' Taverna because we were staying in Gouves. We almost didn't stop because Spyros' friendliness seemed too good to be true...Fortunately, we turned around and had one of the best meals of our honeymoon. The food is good and the atmosphere even better. We ate at some great restaurants on the honeymoon but this... More
