Booked for partners 60th. They gave us a lovely table , decorated with tiny jewels. Setting is one of the best. Service is excellent but then you are paying for it as service charge is added and then they also expect a tip on top, as was explained by our waiter who for one moment lost his charm when I... More

We are enjoying three weeks honeymoon in holetown area in our holiday home. Tides is renowned and we booked two evenings prior to flying out, along with several other well known spots for lunch and dinner. On our first evening ( a Friday) the manager obliged us with a shore-side perfect table. We savoured three excellently presented and high quality... More

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much , we went a second time before we left to come home. Food was wonderful, service was excellent the second time. ( the first time it was average). But as we all know it all comes down to the wait staff you get. THe location is lovely and right on the water.... More

We have had the opportunity to eat in many fine restaurants in many cities in North America. The Tides easily compares to the best of these. The setting is outstanding - spread lengthwise along the water, you are literally only a few meters from the lapping waer of the Caribbean with the lights from the restaurant dancing on the water.... The location is amazing. We booked a roadside table in the day of our visit and couldn't have been happier with our table or the service. We both had mixed seafood for starter. It was beautifully presented and the squid was perfect however, the salmon was so overcooked it was dry and the scallops were gritty. As we were on... More

Please accept my sincere apologies with regard to your food complaints.Things do go wrong from time to time as they did when you dined with us. Please let me know next time you are on island so I can take care of you to our usual high standards. Kind regards Guy Beasley More

We went here to see if we could have a table overlooking the seas for our wedding breakfast. The assistant firstly didn`t wish us congratulations ( as everyone else had/did) She was most unhelpful, couldn`t guarantee us a table near the sea, even when we asked if there was a time for a better chance of such a table. We... More

Firstly congratulations to you both and thank you again for responding to my private message. I have indeed followed up on the targeted training so this will not happen again. I look forward to seeing you again at Tides next time you are on island. Kind regards Guy Beasley More

Despite being frequent visitors to Barbados we had never eaten at Tides until this trip, not sure why but I am so glad we finally visited this restaurant. The location, service and food were all wonderful. The lobster ristotto was absolutely delicious. The waitress (Nicola/Nicole can;t quite remember) was charming and friendly, and the wine waiter was so nice. Whilst... More

Fantastic location, food, service - you couldn't get much better than this. Make sure you get a table outside. It is a bit pricey but there are no pockets in shrouds!

Fabulous location & atmosphere. Food was on par with most high restaurants that I have experienced. The prices were a little high for me but it was a special occasion, so I can rationalize the price. The bar/lobby art gallery was an added bonus. The restaurant is open air and the mosquitoes were a little thick near the landscaped edges.

We ate here on our last night in Barbados. It's a fab atmosphere with a modern chic decor, but truly scummy food. I recommend a table outside on the terrace but you need to book early to secure!
