As always, SunDevil has given you good advice. The GPP is located next to the outlet malls also. If you are travelling with young children, the GPP also has a children's play zone and is in close proximity to Legoland.

The Hilton is closer to the beach, but you must cross a busy highway to get there. It's a typical Hilton Garden Inn with a courtyard style pool. It is located just off of the freeway (Hwy 5). It's a busier area, but it does offer ocean views.

we are staying at the GPP , feb 5-8th. love it love it love it. everyone here has been super. we are across the street from legoland, can walk, a little bit of a stroll, but the hotel provides a shuttle. there are activities for the kids during the day.... which was nice and fun for my 4 year old. the hotel room was spacious and there is a great pool for the kids, with a water play area!! got a great price too.
