We came here on our honeymoon.
Our room was a lovely size, with the Tyrolean style of two duvets on the double bed. We were lucky to have a balcony which overlooked the Wellness Centre and entrance to the ski run. The bedroom was cleaned and beds made every day during our stay.
The restaurant was great, you had an assigned table for the duration of your stay and the same waiter. We stayed half board, but there was the option of having lunch there also, but as we were skiing we didn't use it. Breakfast was served continental buffet style with fruits, yoghurts, a few cereals, hot dog style sausages, bacon, cheese and hams as well as bread. The only thing we couldn't work out was the juice drinks - I was getting some odd looks as I diluted the orangey flavoured one. I noted that some of the families were using the bread rolls, ham and cheese from breakfast to make up lunches for out on the mountain which was useful for saving some money.
Dinner was a four course meal each night. A word of advice, come down to the restaurant about 20 mins after it opens, as the families will by then be in and you can go straight to the table. Antipasti was already out on the table and once you finished that your starter was brought out. The waiter was very attentive in his duties, however, be careful what you order drinks wise as the bottles of water are not free, you are charged for them at the end of the stay. We had a bottle of water each night which lasted for the meal. In addition to the courses there was also a vegetable buffet made up of salads and cold boiled vegetables (it sounds odd but tastes really nice!). Bread was also on offer with various oils and vinegars for dipping in. You could help yourselves to the buffet at any time and it was unlimited. Dessert was usually buffet style which was great but there was only a finite amount and the table wasn't monitored. I saw one little girl come up with her family and take 5 servings of profiteroles back to her table, just for herself.
The only real complaint I'd have about the food - which they are working on according to the rep - was the translations of the menu and the choice. One night we had an antipasti which we later found out was Tripe in Tuna Sauce, and on our final night the main course choices were either veal, veal or calamari. Apart from those niggles the food was excellent and we left each night stuffed to the gills.
I will point out the hotel (and resort) is heavily Italian which is great but please learn some Italian or take a phrasebook - your efforts will be appreciated.
Each night in the bar area was a piano player and singer who formed part of the Animation team. About 10pm the music would stop and everyone would go downstairs for the rest of the evening's entertainment. The only downside to this was if you went to bed before the entertainment downstairs had finally finished, you could be woken up as the families came past your room.
The final niggle was on the last morning, our coach was supposed to leave at 6am, and we were informed the hotel would put on a breakfast in the bar area from 5.30am. As we found out, their idea of breakfast that early was coffee and a stale danish pastry, there were no other drinks options and the majority of us agreed we would have preferred the extra half hour in bed. If you are having an early get up for the airport, take some food from the buffet the night before.
All in all, we really enjoyed staying at the hotel and would go back there in an instant.
NB. I did not put a rating on the value for money as my husband booked and paid for the honeymoon as a surprise for me.
