We have been at Bamboo Oriental for 4 days. Batanyan Island was our final island destination of our vacation. Our trip started with 4 days in Bohol and 4 days in Siquijor.
From Siquijor we travelled by Ferry to Cebu City and stayed for 1 night in Mactan Island. The next day Robert (owner of Bamboo) picked us up with private van from the resort in Mactan Island. After 4 ½ hours (including 1 hour Ferry) we arrived at Bamboo. From that day onwards the staff and Robert provided us with great service. We were treated as VIP with a big smile. The resort has only a view suites and villa’s. The bamboo construction is very nice and provides a great feel of ambiance.
When you weak up in the morning you have a fantastic view from your bed on the blue sea and white beach. The suite with its own balcony with table and 2 sunbeds was good and very clean. On request you can order a massage that we did multiple times (was great!). The owner has a restaurant with the name “The Jungle” in a very cozy street with bars and restaurants in Santa Fe (approx. 5 minutes’ walk). They have fresh fish. We have been eating there every evening. For the lunch we went to Coconut (good Pizza’s).
Batanyan Island has limited options for “things to do”. Going to the market in Batanyan City, taking massages, swimming and relaxing would be good enough to enjoy your stay. Robert, Lyn, Jorena, Butch and other staff many thanks for the unforgettable celebration of my 50th anniversary.
