The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived and were fortunate enough to find parking in front of hotel. Our stay was excellent from check in to check out. We will definitely return! The hotel is located in Old San Juan. It is walking distance of museums, stores and excellent restaurants with authentic Puerto Rican food!

Room tip: You can check rooms on line. We had a room on first floor near back which offered privacy.

Goes beyond my expectations in resolving a problem!

Mr. Franklin Rivera, the manager of the hotel, somehow found our phone number and called to resolve our problems with the hotel. Most would have shrugged their shoulders and ignored the problem. But this hotel cares about their guests and reputation.

The problem was Expedia called and told us the hotel reservation we had booked in March and fully paid for had been cancelled. The blame was placed on the hotel and we were told nothing could be done. Expedia did at least refund our payment for the room.

I placed notices on Tripadvisor and Cruisecritic telling everyone to avoid this hotel. I also checked with the hotel and was told no rooms were available.

I was contacted by the manager and was told rooms were available. We are traveling at the end of January and they generally do not book rooms this far out. He also told us the Expedia told him we were booking the room for only one night and the hotel in the high season has a two night minimum. Very curious as we had paid for two nights. They also had us in a queen bedded room even though I had booked a king bedded room.

The manager was able to rebook our room with a king bed. He also offered a number of room options. We now have a king bed in a quiet part of the hotel. The manager called three times to make sure that our reservation was correct.

Room tip: Call the hotel direct and do not use travel consolidator such as Expedia.

I went on a solo trip to PR for 5 days and stayed at La Terraza. My room was a lot bigger than I expected, with a large sitting room, comfy bed, great shower, clean and well decorated room.
The front desk guys were awesome booking my tours and suggesting great places to eat.
Breakfast at the terrace was simple but good, and the pool was surprisingly nice. I totally loved my stay their because it was so easy and safe to explore the city on my own.

Got a friend's recommendation and they were spot on!
Perfect blend of the old & new. If you want all glitzy, shiny & new, go elsewhere. But if you want charming, stylish, friendly, & quaint, stay here. Reasonable rates, variety of rooms, and clean. This place is for the seasoned traveler who appreciates stylish immersion in the Old World. Complimentary cafe from "Gloria" and the SUPER staff make this place a notch above. The Terrace is NICE too. Only 1 other hotel comes close to La Terrazza in Old SJ. And for the price, you can't beat it! Almost hate to rave because we want to keep this place a secret. Ha!

Very nice stay! A couple of notables; free expresso in lobby 24/7, rooftop deck with dipping pool; although it was closed for repairs during our 2 day stay (disappointment as we planned our last 2 days to relax by pool after our 2 week long visit to PR. If we had been made aware ahead, we would have stayed elsewhere. Also, hotel would do well with valet parking. Too much hassle if u r used to NYC hotels. Other than that, the manager was very gracious in assisting us. All employees we're exceptional!!! Great, will return!!!!
