Myself and friend both travel agents stayed in this hotel for 5nights ending our trip around Thailand.

Check-In
What lovely people. We got greated to a very nice girl. I started to ask if there where any of their swim up rooms left as I was willing to pay for an upgrade into one. They greated me with my name and then told me that I had already been upgraded to said room. FREE. This was a lovely suprise. The girl on check-in then moved her hand and a member of staff came over to us with two fresh pineapples with a hole bored into them and an orchid placed in the hole with a straw, also was a fresh towel. A lovely touch.

The room was stunning, turn down service every night beds and towels changed daily. flip flops, slippers and dressing gown. Nice large wardrobe. Huge walk in shower. I cannot comment on the standard rooms as I didn't see one. But if you can well worth stopping in a swim up.

The staff could not do enough for you. One of the nights we had a tropical storm and a gecco came into the room two girls one gecco trouble! I went to reception and the sent over a lad who was there on his first day! He ended up having to come twice as another one came in. To say it was his fisrt day he was a credit to the hotel.

Location was real good. A nice 5 minute walk it is down a small lane. As two girls we did think if we should use it but we did everynight felt very safe. Even went for a walk on my own one day. The pool is very nice there is one for the swim up rooms a main pool with swim up bar then another for the swim up room with the whirl pool.

On check-out the managing director came to see us and gave us a gift and personally wanted to speck to us about our stay and asked our opinion on the hotel and staff.

Krabi gorgeous place plenty of place to go see. Did a kayaking half day trip booked locally in town and a Islands tour. Don't pre book just have a walk round Krabi one night and sort them then. Alot of compatition so you can get them at a good price. Got told by a very helpfull driver that all the building land and commercial land has all been sold and taken for 5years so if you go there in the next five years would be the same.

I will be going back everything about this trip and stay was FANTASTIC!

Krabi La Playa is a lovely hotel - we had 8 nights there at the end of April beginning of May. Nothing flash but excellent value for money and a great location. We had a superior room which was more than adequate. A huge bed (although the duvet was not big enough and we really should have asked for a 2nd one!) nice barthroom and open plan shower / wet room. One thing I would say we only had 6 coat hangers in a huge wardrobe. I always pack a few as this is something ive come across time and time again.
The room had all the usuals safe, kettle with coffee and tea, fridge and mini bar and complimentary bottles of water.
We were on the 3rd floor and looked out onto the pool which was lovely as the backfrop to this is very green and luscious.
We could pcik the free wifi up on our balcony and by the pool most days
Breakfast was included in our stay. There was plenty of choice albeit a lot of strange items that as a british traveller were not my choice for breakfast. I was happy to have fruit, yoghurt and toast or pastries / croissants each day though. There was an egg station and a grill to cook your own bacon but not particularly my choice anyway. The restaurant was open during the day and evening although we didnt try as there were so many to choose from nearby.
Krabi is lovely. The beaches are not great and if you want to relax on the beach its worth getting a boat to one of the others near by.
There are lots of bars and restaurants near to the hotel and the choice is amazing. We ate at a couple but then stumbled on the fantastic Longtail Boat Restaurant on the sea front - and ate there every night after. The choice was amazing and food second to none - I wish it was at home because I would be a regular for sure. It was nice to sit by the sea and benefit from the breeze whilst enjoying our dinner. Beautifully presented and well worth the little bit more we paid (2 mains 2 starters, wine, beer and coffee were around £35).
We did the Phi Phil island tour as it was an area we really wanted to see while there. A great day out but make sure you reapply the sun tan lotion!
It was the start of the rainy season but this was not a problem as we were told that even at this time it rarely rains during the day. We had heavy showers most evenings but nothing to casue an issue.
Do make sure you take some good insect repellant.
I would definately return to Krabi and Krabi La Playa resort although we did see other hotels we would perhaps like to try now we are familiar with the area.

Room tip: Ask for a high floor. rooms 10 onwards for pool

Welcome drink on arrival which was nice. We had room upgraded to a delux when we arrived which wasn't to sure what the difference was but was very nice. Had good size balcony overlooking the pool and very generous size bed. Had bath and shower in room and good size bathroom. Hotel has very nice restaurant if not a little bit more expensive than beach front but has good food and is convenient. Plenty to do very close by and well worth exploring other nearby islands. Railey beach is a must as well and has beautiful views.

excellent hotel, close to all ammenities,we were offered free upgrade without asking, our room had access to the pool.as we went in low season, we virtually had pool to ourselves(plus our 4 friends).breakfast was pleasant, there were some unusual things on offer, such as fish balls. The staff were friendly, there was also a gym. The pool bar was nice, but as we had access to our rooms & pool, we just bought drink from the 7 Eleven shop which is like a spar. Even though the rainy season has just started, we had excellent weather. It rained heavy one night & one afternoon, but it didnt matter as it was still hot.
