playa zicatela is absolutley gorgeous!!!!along the beach, you will find many fabulous affordable restaurants. The cafacita seems to be the all time favorite. serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.(don't leave home without a mango pastry)-great atmosphere, and very friendly servicethere is a gelato stand that serves the best gelato that I have ever had and they have a large variety of flavors to choose from, and the prices were great. you can find all of your favorite foods somewhere on the strip anything from grilled steaks/pork chops, seafood, spaghetti, pancakes, pastries, pizza and of course your traditional mexican dishes be sure to stop by the cute little coffeehouse/librarywhere you can buy coffee, tea, cold drinks and even used books(also, if you bring them one of your used books, you can trade it in for one of theirs)there are also many places to stay, anywhere from$4 and upTHe place I stay is Acali. you can either stay in a cabanas or bungalow. I prefer the cabanas!! they are spacious bamboo huts with a private bathroom (except for the iguana that kept creeping in)each room has a ceiling fan and mosquito netting i you can ask for a propane stove and a 5 gallon water jug to keep on your front porchacali has a pool, a bar, and a full time cook eager to prepare you a meal(for a reasonable price)the best thing about Acali's location is THE SHADElots and lots of trees, the cabanas are very airy and hardly ever get hotIt has been 2 years since I have been there and I once heard someone say, once you go, you will always come back and it's true!!! I am going back in 3 weeksoh, and of course there is the surfing!!!!!i heard it is the best but I am terrified myself to venture too far into the water everything was great except-WHERE ARE THE PUBLIC BATHROOMS WHEN YOU ARE ON THE BEACH?
