The view looking out at the Inner Harbor (especially when buildings are all lit up at night) is great. The locally brewed beers are quite good and it is worth trying a few of them to find your favorite. If you're just looking for a place to grab a drink and relax, this is it.

Beautiful, good food... although I've sometimes been disappointed, I've gone back because it's close to where I work and play and I've also had a great experience. It's very much worth experiencing on your own, as they pride themselves on their locally brewed beer and using only in-season ingredients. You can also stay for very affordable price!

If you're staying in the downtown Victoria area and like taking a nice walk before having lunch or dinner -- head out along the waterfront, cross the Johnston Street Bridge and head towards Esquimalt. It's a beautiful walk that can take you an hour each way - and a great place to stop -- either because you don't want to do the whole hike or on the way back for a break - is Spinnakers. Or, if you want a drive -- it's only 5 minutes from Parliament (and it has free parking). Downstairs it's a restaurant, nice atmosphere, great view -- and upstairs is a typical pub. Spinnakers brews their own beers -- good solid - if not great - beer. We have eaten there in the past - this time around it was just beers & appies and they were great: somehow we always end up at Spinnakers at least once each trip to Victoria!

Local ingredients, creative use of their beers and vinegars--just go eat here!

Get: pub cheese. Just do it. So delicious! I also liked the pub pie. My husband had a burger that looked amazing, and the fries were also good. Very good selection of beer, of course.
