For a motel, the Homeward Inn is pretty good. The room was clean, the staff was nice, and everything was working well in my room. I felt safe being close to restaurants and right in downtown (I'm a senior lady traveling solo). Antigonish is a cute and friendly town. Good value for your money. There's a McDonald's right beside, I took a picture of the "mclobster" sign. I have to mention that I am a vegan, and I never go to a MacDonald's, I just thought thought the mclobster thing was funny (although I'm totally against it).

I visited Canada last summer for the first time, and I stayed at the Homeward Inn in Antigonish. My stay was fantastic. It was easy to find, checking in was a breeze. The room was absolutely immaculate. Brochures and menus were provided for various restaurants in town as well as things to see in the area. The staff was friendly. The bed was the best part of the room, one of the best mattresses I have ever slept on. Usually I have a little trouble falling asleep in a hotel, I had none at the Homeward Inn, it was that comfortable. The location was great; within walking distance of several restaurants and the town main street.

After driving from Sydney through the Cabot trail, my wife and I were very tired and wanted to stop in somewhere cheapish. My gps picked up this motel in Antigonish and I thought I would take a look. For someone who never stays in motels, I was impressed with the price and the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms seemed to have been upgradeted in the last few years and for $85 a night, you can't complain. Also, the location is right off the main highway and you have several restaurants accessible in walking distance.

My friends and I , were coming from touring Cape Breton and it was late. All thr hotels were full and were just happy to find a hotel. The room was large but one of the beds was just a few feet from the front door and it made me feel creepy' The bathroom had mold on the tiles and towels that were in shreds. No hair dryer! Bed ok but just ok. TV remote broken.
My husband went to bed and jumped up. He found the smoke alarm under his pillow and then we looked up and found the wires hanging from the ceiling. If it earlier.I would have left and found another hotel.
