I stayed in Pembroke for the Labour Day long weekend (2008). Our hotel was the Travelodge and since it didn't have a free breakfast, we walked down the street to Fresco's for breakfast.
It was very busy and had a diner feel to it with the lunch counter. I can't comment on the whole menu, but the breakfast selections were great. Lots of choices such as eggs, omlettes, steak and eggs, waffles, french toast and pancakes. The portions were very large and everything was quite yummy.
The prices were not overly expensive. It cost around $8 for breakfast and since the portions were huge, we were not complaining.
It was a nice alternative to a chain restaurant (i.e. the McDonald's across the street). Overally, would definately recommend the restaurant!
