Well...as a young group of girls (aged 18), we visited the St Christopher's Hostel in Newquay during the Rip Curl Surf Competition week last August and an amazing holiday! we stayed for 3 nights and absoutley loved it. The rooms were clean, and although we were in bunkbeds and the bathroom was small, it didnt really bother us! we had an amazing view of town beach and the outside patio. the bar below the hostel (bellushi's i think it was called) was a really good bar and on most nights was packed and had a long queue outside...but we were lucky that we were staying in the hostel so we didnt have to queue! there was a nice chill-out room downstairs which meant we could meet other people staying in the hostel and also a hot tub on the patio looking over the beach! it felt like we were abroad- but i suppose it helped that we were also lucky with the weather!
however there was a mix up with the rooms and we ended up having a random man staying in our room although we payed to have the spare bed....and on one night we even had two lads staying in our room as they double booked the bed- so one slept on the floor! but we were lucky that these lads were a good laugh! but i suppose the mix up was probably just because it was the busiest week of the year for them in Newquay.
So i would suggest the hostel to any young people going to Newquay! we loved it so much we have booked to go again this year!!!

loved st christophers. just got back this week and am already booking in for next year to stay again. Ok so the shower room could do with a bit of an update but apart from that it was completely unfaultable. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. Its near to the centre and the excellent newquay night life.
