I checked out after one night.
The room was small, with a filthy carpet, a TV with a broken case and non-working remote, a backless, dangerous plug in one of the sockets and a grubby cable reeel under the bedside table to run the bedside lamp.
Tea making and brekfast facilities consisted of a grimy area outside the bathrooms. Used crockery was not cleared from the time I checked in in the evening to when I checked out in the morning - I didnt dare check the fridge. My bathroom, was passably clean but in poor condition.
The rooms face onto the beer garden, so on a busy night you can enjoy the smokers chat.
The landlord may say that thats what you get for £45 in the South East, but he is wrong - I can show his three hotels that are as cheap, clean and serve breakfast.
As a Youth Hostel it (might) pass muster (except the damgerous electrics, whcih are inexcusable) but as a hotel it is completely unacceptable.
