My mom and I planned a mother-daughter vacation to Edinburgh because it has been my mother's dream to go to Scotland. We found this Bed & Breakfast accidentally, but I'm so glad we did! First of all, I can't say enough kind words about our hostess Joon! She was a fantastic cook, knew all of the places to go and how best to get there, and was just pure fun to talk with! There is a private bathroom for guests, a kind sized bed, a large sofa, and tv. This B & B is not located in the center of town, but the great thing about Edinburgh is that nothing is too far away! If you like to walk, the trip from her place to Princess Street is a lovely walk. If you aren't into walking, have no fear! Joon will call a taxi for you whenever you need! The best part about the stay is Joon's fantastic breakfast! She has a list of breakfast items, but she will also cater them to your liking. For example, in our conversation she found out how much I liked spinach,so the next day she made me eggs with spinach and lox! Also, mom and I took a tour with Rabbies (excellent tours) and she made us a sack breakfast and lunch to go! I can't write enough wonderful things about this place! By the end of our stay, it was almost as if Joon was a family friend we had known for years!

Booked this for my mum who was visiting Edinburgh. Can't speak highly enough of the hospitality she received. The room was great; really big and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Loads of fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast tailored exactly for you. Joon really is a great host. It's in a lovely spot too. 15 min walk to the city and just 5 minutes from Stockbridge.

This is so much more than one would expect from a B&B, so many personal touches from Joon, our host, made our stay memorable. The warm welcome helped calm after a long journey and every need was catered for. The bed so comfortable and the quiet location contributed to a restful sleep. Breakfast was delicious, the quality was apparent and home made bread and jam just scrummy! After lots of walking, the spa bath eased any aches picked up. The location makes access to The Gallery of Modern Art a doddle and so many other places to explore in walking distance. We loved Inverleith Park. The shops in Stockbridge, again a short walk away are wonderful, full of local fare and crafts. My only regret is that our stay was for only two days. Perfect accommodation in a city that captured my heart.

A lovely quiet room in one of Edinburgh's typical grand terraces, and Joon is a gracious hostess who gives a fascinating insight into issues of the day in Scotland. Delicious breakfasts, and a wonderful location for either walking to the Old Town or exploring the architectural pleasures of the West End and the foodie delights of Stockbridge! This particular area of Edinburgh was new to us, though so close to the centre, and definitely repays leisurely wandering around. No 16 is one to return to!

This felt like our very own home from home for the weekend we stayed. Host Joon went above and beyond to make us feel as comfortable and looked after as possible. The room itself is spacious and with touches of luxury - so you have the best of both worlds in terms of home comforts and easy access to the city and surrounding areas. Having our own front door also added to the space and convenience. The generous breakfast is delicious, choose from a varied menu, cooked and served with syle in the tasteful kitchen. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath option for pampering, and is again warm and tastefully decorated. We really couldn't have asked for more and feel like we found a special gem of a stay. We hope to return.
