Like everyone, the kids loved Bob the dog! Family friendly accommodation in a great location. Continental breakfast in the room was actually a nice change from the sit down at most places. Enjoyed it and definitely recommend.

We very much enjoyed the hospitality and rooms. We were on the lower floor and it was a bit loud, but overall still good.

Our daughter selected Butler Court for us, based on locals' recommendations, and we really enjoyed our four days there. The hosts Yvonne & John Dalton were extremely welcoming, which included John chasing the parking warden away while we unloaded our luggage from our illegally-parked car . The continental breakfasts supplied to our room each day were good-quality and substantial. The big bowl of crisp apples available in the courtyard were great as well. Kilkenny is a friendly and interesting town, well worth several days of anyone's visit to Ireland.

My husband and I (early 30s) stayed at Butler Court in May 2009. It was one of our favorite accomodations in all of Ireland. The B&B is located right in the heart of Kilkenny (our guidebook made it look like it was off the main downtown area a little, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't ). The room was clean, comfortable, cozy, and charming. After all of our heavy vacation eating, we loved eating our healthy in-room breakfast in bed (cereal with milk, scones, fruit, yogurt, juices). Yvonne was so welcoming and helpful with parking (there is a lot about one street over where they validate); recommendations for sights, restaurants, and pubs (all within walking distance); and planning our directions and itinerary for the upcoming days. We really enjoyed our stay at Butler Court.
