Stayed over the Easter weekend when everything was awfully expensive. Hotel Sevilla Palmera is cheap because of it's location - mid-way between the industrial and residential area of Sevilla, it is about 15 mins walk to Plaza de Espana, and about 30 mins to the middle of Barrio Santa Cruz, where the action is.
The receptionist was really great, perhaps because they were not at peak capacity - but he took the time to explain to us what the attractions were and how we could get there.
The rooms were clean, but it's proximity to a hospital left a female friend gagging, and commenting that it smelled like a hospital. However, I liked the rooms - despite the decor being a rather boring blue. The beds were comfortable - a type of dense memory foam instead of the usual spring mattresses.
Noise was minimal, even with the train tracks about 100 metres away - think the sound proofing works really well, since this is a new hotel and all.
There's no kettle or minibar (what's with the hotels in Europe?). There is shared parking with the hospital for about 10 euros a night, free wi-fi. and free parking nearly. There is also a simple cafeteria on the premises, and a supermarket that is due to open soon.
