- Can't beat the location to all the stores and sights
- Madrid Vision bus was a great deal for a family that can't walk much
- Avoid the breakfast - low cost, but you'll get what you pay for
- Starbucks and Dunkin donuts nearby
- No pool, no big lobby. . .don't need it and don't want to pay for it
- Family room was big and a great deal!
- It will be noisy. .. . but if you want to be in the best location, that's the price

After doing a lot of research on hotels in Madrid and after reviewing trip advisor reviews for this hotel, we decided to book it online and ended up staying for three nights. The hotel is situated in an ideal location in Madrid, right at the city center within walking distance to great shopping, a plethora of cafes and tapas bars, all the wonderful tourist sites and the Madrid metro stop Callao. Although the location was great, I caution on two things. First, it is located on an extremely busy street which was very very loud. The nightlife in Madrid is amazing, but this hotel is situation right in the center of the nightlife, so if you want to get any sleep, this is not the hotel to stay in. Second, the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. In fact, you can feel the springs from the mattress when you lay down. When I inquired about moving to a more comfortable bed, the reception staff informed me that all the mattresses are the same at all High Tech Hotels in all rooms. I ended up staying at another High Tech Hotel in the latter part of our stay and the bed was hard as well. I caution that if you need a comfortable bed, this is not the hotel for you. Lastly, there is an in-room safe which was wonderful. The safe works by swiping a credit card (the use of the safe is free and does not charge your card, it is only to read it for security). The last night we were there, the safe in our room broke. When we went to open it with our credit card per the instructions, it was not reading our card. All of our important documents (passport, etc) were locked in the safe and we were unable to retrieve them. The reception staff told me there wasn't anything that could be done until we checked out because that is when they could reset the safe. As you could imagine, this caused undue stress on our trip. Ultimately, we got our belongings out of the safe, and this could have been an anomoly, but just be aware. The hotel was very clean and modern. There was free internet accessibility in the lobby.

I was planed to a 3 nights stay at the hotel.When we arrived I realized that it is far from my expectations. The hotel is very good located,but not more than that. There is no lobby if you want to seat downstairs and drink something.After we went up to the room we decided to leave on next day, the room was very very simple,the bathroom is built like a part of the room with a glass separation, not enough to isolate it from the room. The room was clean.
I understood well why the fare was relatively low.

We stayed here while visiting many locations in Spain and this hotel was my favorite! Modern room, nice bathroom, GREAT location to EVERYTHING! You could walk anywhere you wanted! Close to the Metro. I will stay here again when we come to Madrid for our next trip.
