We were pleasently surpriced by the large apartment (superior junior suite) - 2 floors, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen, living room with a dining table and a large bed room.

It wasn't new (for example brown carpet and needed painting), but very clean. Every day the maids changed the many towels, cleaned and made beds.

We had one of the few rooms without a balcony, so if this is important, make sure to ask for a room with The breakfast was fine - lots of things to choose from for both children and adults.

The pool and pool area was also very nice and clean, and there was pleanty of sun chairs. The pool was too deep for the smallest children, though (1,20 - 3 meters). So for children who can't swim, bring a swim ring.

It wasn't too far a walk from the beach but very steep streets so it felt further coming home from the beach than going there!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and families with children were welcome.

We booked our holiday last minute but it was a pleasant surprise.
The rooms were very spacious although our bathroom upstairs did have a funny smell coming from it.
The service was good. We booked half board which included breakfast and dinner. It was the same foods offered for breakfast every morning and a fixed menu with a choice of only two meals every evening which wasn't bad but not much for choice !
Service at the restaurant was very good.
The beaches which are a 15 minute walk are great. if you don't mind climbing 40 odd steps up and down every day!
Overall our stay was good. We have two boys aged 10 and 7 who felt very much at home as the hotel rooms were very cosy !

We have recently returned from a week's stay at the Clube Do Lago Hotel and could not fault it! The room was a great size for us (2 adults and 2 children), the staff were all very pleasant and there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool area which made a nice change! The water in the outdoor pool was very cold but the children loved the indoor pool! Breakfast was included in the price and was more than adequate. The hotel is situated on a hill in a quiet location and is a very good base for exploring the estoril coast. Would most definately recommend!

I was unable to get accommodation in Estoril or Cascais so we ended up staying in Club de Lago in Monte Estoril. Monte Estoril is between Estoril and Cascais. Both resorts are about 15mins walk along a seafront promenade from Monte Estoril. A taxi to either resort costs €4. The hotel room was more of an apartment style. There was a sitting room and bed, toilet and kitchenette downstairs and a huge bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There is a pool and snack bar outside, although the service was quite slow. There is also a small gym and really good beautician/masseuse with really reasonable prices. The breakfast was included in the price, buffet style but quite limited in choice. The staff also seemed unable to clear the dirty tables for other guests and we had to ask one morning to have the table cleared and set. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I would recommend this hotel, it is great value.
