I had the opportunity to stay here for a few days on business. The hotel is not in the main part of Ludwigsburg, but in a smaller commercial area on the west side of town. It's a fairly quiet neighborhood, and noise was not a concern for me. The hotel seems small from the outside, but has 110 rooms. The entry is off the street and there is an underground car park. The rooms were clean and reasonably large, and the bathroom is bright and clean. There is a flat screen TV with probably 25 German stations. The English offerings are pretty much limited to BBC, CNN and MTV. There is free Internet, although I wasn't able to get the wireless Internet to work. The front desk supplied a long network cable and code which worked fine for me, although a colleague had some difficulty getting online.
The hotel has a restaurant, bar, and breakfast room. The food was consistently good at the restaurant, and the breakfast spread was decent, although heavy on the cured meats and breads. They will prepare eggs to order; otherwise, there are mostly cold offerings. The staff was helpful and generally friendly, though reserved. All in all it was a good stay and more affordable than the other Ludwigsburg location I've typically stayed at. I will definitely consider this hotel for future visits.
