The family who runs Budha Guesthouse is extremely helpful. They picked us up from the airport, allowed us to use their phone to book our tours, helped relay our messages when people called us back, and had much better rates for taxi and motorbike rentals.

The room is cheerful and clean. AC works great, although wifi can be spotty sometimes, it still works. Breakfast is served out in the garden. The banana pancakes are good, and if you order the jaffle, don't expect waffles. It's more of a toasted sandwich from a sandwich maker. I recommend the banana juice here.

If you first drive there at night, the little alley may appear creepy. During the daytime, it's quite charming actually. Make sure you grab their calling card before you go into town, as most taxi drivers won't recognize it until they see the map on the card.

You could walk to Discovery Shopping Plaza and Waterbom Park but it's not as close to Kuta beach or the main shopping area. If you're renting a motorbike, take care to study the map a bit first. There are many one way streets that make driving around Kuta tricky at first, but then easy once you figure out the system.

We only planned to stay for one day but liked it enough to book an extra night. I recommend this only if you don't need to be walking distance from beach or night life. Also, there is no real door. It's a balcony sliding window that locks and you have curtains. So if privacy is really important for you, this may not suit you either. This location is very secluded though and the staff is around 24/7 so it felt pretty safe.

Warning: there are roosters

Good place to stay, but its quite hard to find the place coz there is no signboard. Totally depends on landmark which is opposite Hotel Ramada Bintang Bali. Something to improve. Overall this place is good.

Budha's guest house is a very calm place to rest after a big day of surf, the rooms are clean ( with AC and good Tv), the bathroom is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. They have really good breakfast ( best pancakes!! :) We planned to stay only a few days but we finally stayed a hole week and then after visiting other part of Bali we came back there before departure. The guest house is at the end of a small street next to the main street of Kuta (Kartika) , so you can enjoy a really calm night after going to bars, restaurants and night clubs at 10 minutes from there. The price is cheap compared to other places and the more you stay the cheaper it is :). Also the staff is really kind and helpful. You can ask the staff anything you need, they will help you. The manager also offered us free transport to airport because we stayed a long time ( really interesting at the end of the trip when you have no more money to spend :)
The surfers from Morocco !!!! :):)

Lovely staff bring this accomodation to life. And it's such a great budget choice in kuta - well located as 'poppies' where the main bulk of accomodation lies is a little grimey and noisy.. Not like budha's guest house. The latter is peaceful and the gardens are beautifu. The rooms are small but all newly furnished. The bathroom is fine although our shower wasn't seeming to go warm, but this is the only gripe of ours which we decided not to worry about considering the heat, the price and the excellent device provided by the staff at the place. One night the guys were v hospitable at the place and invited myself and my boyfriend out to have a social drink with them at the accomodation. They were ally so friendly and welcoming during our stay.

We planned to only stay one night. We ultimately stated 3 and cancelled our expensive poppies accomodation which was nearly 3 times the price.

Close to shops and town centre and beach. Also close to airport and provide a free return service to all guests.

Loved our stay and would definitely recommend for a good affordable stay.

My girlfriend and I have only been staying for a night in budhas guesthouse, but it was definitely a stay to remember.

The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful and kind.
They assisted us with any concerns eg. airport transport (which was free of charge) and the option to leave all of our luggage in their house.

it is a little hard to find but taxi drivers usually recognize the address easily.

The rooms are equipped with a queen sized bed and a TV. Free Internet is available as well without any surcharge. My girlfriend especially enjoyed the fairly big bathroom and shower area.

The breakfast was enjoyable but very basic. If you are really hungry you should consider to eat out sometimes, but the coffee was nice.

we have been to several hotels here in bali and this was certainly one of the best considering the low price.

although the guesthouse has not got a pool it was absolutely satisfying and we highly recommend it if you are looking for a budget stay in bali. (after all there are enough beaches around kuta)
