Me and my boyfriend have just recently returned from a fantastic two week stay at the Alaiye Resort and Spa hotel.
The hotel is in an okay location, there are a few shops and bars 25 minute walk up the road, but there is a bus which runs regularly to Alanya which you can catch just outside the hotel entrance. Bus takes 15 mins and is very cheap.
The hotel and its grounds are very well maintained and spotless, rooms are comfortable and spacious and cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels provided. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive - you were never without a drink! The hotel had a seperate park across ther road accessed via subway outside the main entrance. It is well worth goin there as it serves free ice cream all day, is nice and quiet, has a snack bar and additional swimming pool and slides.
The food was excellent and there was a huge selection, something different every day. The main buffet restaurant has a bbq outside and cooked fresh food morning noon and night. There is also 3 al a carte restaurants - chinese, mediterranean and turkish, they were all great and service was excellent.
The beach was a few minutes walk down a private path, where there are free sunbeds and parasols and even a beach bar serving a wide selection of drinks. The beach was beautiful, golden sands and warm sea, not too busy and a long stretch where you can walk and take in the coastal views. We mainly went to the beach as all of the sun beds around the pool area were already taken by 7am so you have to get up early if you wanted one of these spots.
There are 3 bars open in the evening the latest serving until 1 am, our favourite was the fancy bar where you can sit on the terrace over looking the pool, which was lovely. We did visit the ampitheatre one night where the entertainment team put on a show, it was okay but not really our kind of thing.
The hotel had its own spa which was great with free use of gym, sauna, steam room and indoor pool/jacuzzi. They offered additional treatments eg. massages, turkish bath etc.
The only downside to this hotel is that on the day you leave you get your AI bands cut off and replaced with ones that meant you can only get your free food and drink until 2pm, which wasnt great for us as we had to wait until 7pm for our transfer to the airport.
Most of the guests were german however we didnt find this a problem there was no rudeness, queing or prioritising.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recomend it to anyone.
