I had a 9th floor sea view room--absolutely gorgeous view of the Aegean in one direction and the Mediterranean in the other! Problem was, my traveling companion, a single woman, was booked into another 9th floor sea view room: the honeymoon suite. She was very, very uncomfortable in this sexy, sexy room but as she had paid top dollar was confident we could change to another equal-value room.

Wrong. The hotel was full and according to the front desk, there was no possibility to make the change. Problem was, they were complete brats about it. She booked as a single person and it was not at all clear why the reservation or the front desk would be confident that she would be comfortable in this room but that was no matter. She had a top rate sea view room in their opinion and she was a comlete whack job for asking to change. They summarily dismissed her! They were awful about it! The front desk at the Korumar Hotel, you could refer to them as ayatollahs, believes that they own and are in charge of the entire world, including American women traveling alone, and that any and all calls they make are infallible. That's fine. If you are a husband and wife and want to pay big $$$, there's a chance you're going to be happy and satisfied, particularly if you aren't booking during the season. But if you are a single woman and aren't happy with the sex-orgy room, you will not even receive the satisfaction of being heard. AFter all, the front desk at the Korumar Hotel knows all, sees all and calls each and every shot. It's your job to be happy. ;)

Room tip: be sure you find out if your rate is a sea view or is one of the upper floor rooms--there is a big difference between their rooms, some of which are unrenovated. You want sea view, 7th, 8th or 9th floor and rooms that have been renovated within the last 2 years.

We had the pleasure of staying here 2 nights with Gate 1 tour group. we had balcony room upper florr, over looking the Agean sea and the beautiful pool area. I used the interior pool as the outdoor one was chilly in november, the indoor one was very warm and i also used the turkish bath, Haman...all very nice! The food dispaly and assortment was like a fine cruise ship buffet.

Room tip: ask foor ocean front

We sincerely enjoyed our stay at the Korumar hotel in November. Due to a mixup at our planned hotel we ended up driving here without a room at 3:30am in hope of finding a room. I think we woke up half the hotel staff but they were very gracious to show us a room. We stayed in room 301, a corner room which was very nice because in addition to the balcony there was a side window overlooking the sea. We were told it was larger than the others. In addition the room cost us about a third of what we were planing on spending in Sirince. We ended up extending our stay for a full four days.

The hotel is on the outskirts of Kusadasi but easy for us to get into town since we had a rental car. Easy parking at the hotel. We found the hotel to be an excellent place to head out touring the surrounding sites. Very quiet and relaxing during November.

The rooms were especially spotless and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best during our travels in Turkey serving omelets. I do wish they served fresh squeezed orange juice as we drove through local orange groves. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend staying here for those traveling here during the Fall months.

The Korumar is a beautiful modern hotel on the water in Kusadasi, overlooking the skyline and port areas in the distance. Don't miss the great spa and indoor pool, as well as the sleek bar and restaurant areas, which were great. The outdoor pool is distinctively designed with luxurious chairs and overlooks the sea. The location is also a short walk to the town and harbor of Kusadasi, but is far enough away to avoid alot of the traffic and commotion of a busy cruise port.

Room tip: Be sure to ask for an ocean-view room
