I had a 9th floor sea view room--absolutely gorgeous view of the Aegean in one direction and the Mediterranean in the other! Problem was, my traveling companion, a single woman, was booked into another 9th floor sea view room: the honeymoon suite. She was very, very uncomfortable in this sexy, sexy room but as she had paid top dollar was confident we could change to another equal-value room.
Wrong. The hotel was full and according to the front desk, there was no possibility to make the change. Problem was, they were complete brats about it. She booked as a single person and it was not at all clear why the reservation or the front desk would be confident that she would be comfortable in this room but that was no matter. She had a top rate sea view room in their opinion and she was a comlete whack job for asking to change. They summarily dismissed her! They were awful about it! The front desk at the Korumar Hotel, you could refer to them as ayatollahs, believes that they own and are in charge of the entire world, including American women traveling alone, and that any and all calls they make are infallible. That's fine. If you are a husband and wife and want to pay big $$$, there's a chance you're going to be happy and satisfied, particularly if you aren't booking during the season. But if you are a single woman and aren't happy with the sex-orgy room, you will not even receive the satisfaction of being heard. AFter all, the front desk at the Korumar Hotel knows all, sees all and calls each and every shot. It's your job to be happy. ;)
