Basically me and my boyfriend were aware that it wasn't going to be amazing before we went as it was cheap and an 18-30s hotel. But needless to say there are a lot of hidden costs including the safe box (40 lira per week) and the air con (70 lira per week)...which was a pain considering we stayed for 2 weeks.
My main issue with the holiday was the fact that it was meant to be Bed and Breakfast. Turns out breakfast is dried up bread, cucumber slices and tomato slices. Not worth getting out of bed for. Alongside this we weren't allowed to bring any food/drinks in from the outside and obviously no fridge to store anything...so we ended up going hungry most days or spending our money on the cereal/toast which you have to pay for. Surely that should already be available considering it's bed and breakfast?
I've never seen so many things hanging off in one room....the lights, the drawer handles, the door handles, the sink, the stool cushion...you name it, it was broken.
On a lighter note, there are plenty of sunbeds which is brilliant, and loads of seating areas. Also got addicted to ping pong while we were over there. The pizzas are delicious but I wouldn't encourage buying anything else off the menu, but I guess thats personal taste.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday because we're students and can overlook a crappy room for a couple of weeks and get on with it. For anyone who struggles in these environments, I wouldn't recommend you book, we spoke to a few older couples who were very disappointed. Better of going self catering or all inclusive somewhere because, if I'm honest, they do screw you over a bit here.
