I booked the Faithfully Yours, Wedding Anniversary Package to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From the time we were met at the airport until we were dropped back again we were treated very special. The service, accommodation, food, tours were all excellent but the most enjoyable of all were the staff. Anything we wanted they went out of their way to get for us. The day of our anniversary was very special, starting with a champagne breakfast in our villa, then the special things they do when they bring the anniversary cake was wonderful (I won't mention what they do as I don't want to spoil it for anyone else that may be having the same package). The spa needs to be experienced, such a wonderful environment. Fantastic holiday, I wish it could have been longer - 5 nights is not enough. We stayed in a Bayfront Deluxe Room which was a great location in the resort - close to all the restaurants and beach.

Room tip: We stayed in a Bayfront Deluxe Room which was a great location in the resort - close to all the restaurants and beach.

You couldn't ask for a better place to sit an relax and forget about the world. Pimalai is just a beautiful property with just about everything at the tip of your fingers that you could possibly need and want on a holiday. We were lucky enough to be given a few nights as a wedding present, we stayed for 7 nights. The Pimalai staff were fantastic right from Krabi airport where they meet us, through into our stay and our transfers to Puket. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The spa facilities are fantastic, it's a must to visit the spa, the atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff so wonderful the expirence was nothing i have expirenced before and they give great Thai massages, a must. Franck, the manager was a fantastic host, even provided a little entertainment at world cup rugby time. though a little off the beaten track with flight, car and boat to get to Pimalai it was well worth it. I would go back to pimalai again for another fabulous and relaxing expirence. Just watch those little monkeys they are shocking at coming into your room and stealing the cookies.......

Well, lucky me I had a Gift Voucher for 3 days 2 nights at the beautiful place from my Super Aunt for our wedding gift. We just had to pay for the plane ride.
Air Asia SUCKS!!!!
This is the second time going to Ko Lanta Krabi and Pimalai is on a league of it's own.
Off the jet their were a Pimalai rep waiting for us... Usually you have to hire your own taxi or driver to the resort ugh... The ride was ok long and boring and then you are there at port!
they had their own private boat, just my wife and I took a private boat tour...
Staff member we nice and safe looking haha...
When we got there to the actual resort 30 mins or so on the boat I was greeted by honestly the whole staff. their front desk or check in is on the top of this hill that over sees the island.
EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER greeted us every time they pass and at some point I thought I was going crazy, but I enjoyed...
The room was squared away with beautiful layout and design.
The resort itself had a great vibe and you feel like your the only thing that matters.
Food was alright, that is the only thing I would say needs to upgrade.
Beach and ocean is beautiful and they had wind surf, boogie board, etc... for free!
The infinity pool was also a great place to take pictures and relax as you watch a sunset.
I love the place and it was so clean!
We actually took a stroll right outside the gates and there was a local food joint... pretty darn good... I kind of got tired of the Modern americanize meals...
All was great! Please try it out, I rarely stamp anything, but this bad boy is a must!!!!!
It is costly if I actually paid for it haha!

Room tip: at night time don't forget to pull down the blinds! they can see you from outside... my room was knocked saying I was Naked for everyone to see!

My husband believes the world is too small to visit the same place twice, but due to illness we had to cancel the Maldives but I did'nt have the energy to research another place so having mentioned "can't we just go back to Pimalai..?" he gave in for a moment and it was booked!!! It was every bit as good as my previous review, staff recognised us , we were welcomed in our pool villa with iced towels, champagne cakes and monkeys!! Manager Franck always around to chat and make sure everythink up to standard. We arrived and left by private boat and the captain stopped off to show us caves or stone sculptures, it's the little things that make the difference. Elephant riding and short treck through the forest was amazing as were the family of monkeys on the beach trying to put on a teashirt!! GO AND SEE FOR YORSELF YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Room tip: Go for pool villa if you can, complete privacy particularly in 601 - 603 or even bigger pool in 9 series. Green season is perfect and better prices so what if it rains for half an hour!!

Last month, we spent an enchanting week in Pimalai and would like first to thank the whole team lead by Franck and Mirko for all their efforts to make our stay aboslutely flawless. Indeed we had a great and faultless stay. From the initial airport pickup to the final - private yacht - tansfer, everything went really smoothly.
We - my wife, myself and our 4 kids aged from 6 to 14 - stayed for 7 nights in a huge and immaculate 2 bedroom - private pool beach villa in the lower part of the resort. Everybody really loved it and felt really relaxed. Indeed, living in Hong Kong we very much enjoyed the sound of the breaking waves - the only thing we could hear basically - and were delighted to be so close to the beach where we spent almost all our afternoons. The beach itself is lovely, very natural, harmomiously combining white sands, palm trees and rocks making it the perfect setting to stare at lovely sunsets on distant Ko Haa. In addition, free of charge, peole can go for an Optimist, Laser, Windsurf or Hobbie Cat ride. Our kids very much enjoyed it and should thank all the staffs for their friendliness and professionalism. All the beach personel never hesitated to come with the kids to make sure they won't sink.
We must alos say a couple of words about the property itself. This is indeed a huge resort but moving from the lower part where we were staying to the upper part where we very much enjoyed having delicious and plentiful breakfasts at the Seven Seas Restaurant proved effortless as there was always a club car to take us where we wanted to go. Regarding the restaurants, we tried all of them and also had frequently home dining and were very pleased with the quality of food not to mention the smiling service. Some reviewers complained about the prices. I wouldn't say food at Pimalai is cheap but I would say it's fairly priced for a 5 star resort and Pimalai is clearly one. In addition we had Thai - at Spice & Rice - and BBQ buffets - at Rak Talai - and found they were pretty good value for money especially due to the fact 3 of our kids payed only half price.
We also decided to go for some side trips and had them booked by the hotel. People would argue this is outragesouly expensive I would reply that once again, high quality service comes at a price. We went fro the Ko Haa sunset cruise and snorkelling, did the elephant trekking and finally the mangrove kayaking. The 3 of them were very enjoyable and very well organized.

Usually the key question is would you consider coming back, and here the answer is a clear yes. Another usual question is does this hotel really deserves its 5 stars ? To me, its once again a yes. Indeed having tested a couple of 5 star resorts in dream countries ranging from Mauritius, West Indies or Seychelles, I must reckon our stay at Pimalai clearly stands out.

Thanks to the whole team and we really do hope to come back soon.
