I wrote a review for Amanaki Hotel back in November 2011 and decided to stay with Amanaki Hotel again in Feb 2012 for my birthday celebration holiday with close friends and family.
After arriving at 2am, Michael was there to greet us, all paperwork and keys to our room were ready, we just needed to sign that we've checked and the boys helped us to our rooms....stressfree check in :)
We, a group of 7 occupied 4 rooms (4 standard rooms) and my friends and family (first timers to Amanaki Hotel were very very impressed. It took a bit of convincing for 1 of my friends who travels to Samoa often and will stay at Aggie Greys Hotel, in the end she decided to stay with the group and she was very impressed with Amanaki Hotel and it's staff.
This particular friend had her flight back to NZ cancelled due to mechanical malfunction on the plane at 2am, Air NZ put her up at Aggie Greys for the night and offered to pay for food and accomodation for the next 2 nights. My friend, slept at Aggie Greys that night and then in the morning called Ioana at Amanaki and asked if there was any rooms available for her for the next 2 nights. My friend after spending a week at Amanaki Hotel did not want to stay at Aggie Greys but return back to Amanaki and was willing to pay just to stay there......thats got to say something about Amanaki ( I told you so LOL)
More reasons why you should stay at Amanaki Hotel:
* Its not a big hotel so you get personalised service from the staff.
* Staff know's your name
* $3 Tala to catch a taxi from Amanaki to the Food Market
* At the Amanaki Bar/Resturant the Fish burger is the best ever! $18 tala, Chicken burger is a close 2nd $18 tala
* Your rooms are services pretty much everyday if needed.
* Resturant staff are alway around should you need anything.
* They promote other small local businesses in the area eg, rentals, florists (during valentines) tours, day trips (remember to check out the whiteboard in reception)
* I could always call Ioana & Michael on reception when we're out and about on where's the best place to visit, eat, shop etc
We hired a 12 seater people mover for our group from a promotion on the whiteboard in Reception for a discountd price of $198 Tala per day for 2 days (price is cheaper if more than 3 days) which was a bargin for our group.
One last tip: if your unsure how to switch on your fridge, just let Ioana or Micheal on reception know and they will come over and sort it out for you :)
As Amanaki Hotel grow in popularity both with tourists and with the local people they understand that they must stand out amoungst the rest of the hospitality industry.
Their customer service is A1 in world standards, nothing is too much for the staff, they will always go out of their way in making sure that you are looked after in every way possible.
My group of friends and family have offically called Amanaki Hotel "Our Home Away from Home"
Thank you Bev, Lynelle, Ioana, Michael, Pili, and the rest of the staff for making this trip to Samoa.....The best one so far!
