We stayed at this B&B for 4 days during our summer vacation in California, and would go back there anytime again.
The B&B is in West Hollywood within walking distance of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard.
The rooms are spotless and spacious with TV and air-conditioning.
The hostess Ecaterina is a very welcoming and helpful with planning activities. She made us feel at home straight away.
Breakfast is plenty and delicious.
Ecaterina provided us with a permit to park our rented car, and we never had problems finding a space right in front of the house.
In contrast to all other places we crashed, we didn't have to pay until the end of our stay, and we had to pay exactly the amount that was agreed upon beforehand by mail and was noted on the B&B's website. So, no unpleasant surprises there either.
All in all, considering our experiences, a highly recommendable, and not too pricey place to stay when in LA.

Ecaterina's B&B is a great place to stay in while in LA. My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights there in late August. The rooms were nice and clean. We had a private bathroom, which seemed pretty clean too. Ecaterina's and her husband were very friendly and helpful in giving us suggestions of how to spend the short time we had in LA.
The breakfast was very good. The second morning we had to leave very early as our flight was in the morning and Ecaterina was so nice to prepare breakfast for us at 6 am.

Overall it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Ecaterina's for 3 weeks while he looked for somewhere permanent to stay before starting his new job. It was very reasonable for LA. We stayed in the little guest house which is separate at the back of the house. It was a self contained little flat with bedroom/living room, bathroom and kitchenette and storage space. It was just what we needed as we didnt want to have to eat out every night and nice and private, away from the main house. Ecaterina and her husband were always very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was very good, usually eggs but sometimes cream cheese or salmon on bagels. A good variation and substantial. We were in easy access to main routes by bus on Melrose.

We enjoyed staying there and always felt safe in that area, which you cannot say for a lot of the areas, especially if they are touristy.

Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a tough time finding the house in the first place, there is no sign which would tell you that you are standing in front of the B&B. The house looked deserted from the outside and noone opened the door.
After two hours we were getting them on the phone and they apologized - they had gone shopping.
The interior of the main building looked nice and inviting.
We had made a reservation for a king bedroom but were told when arriving that only the garden house was vacant.
The garden house unfortunately is not comparable to the main building. It is rather basic.
The bathroom and shower is very old and barely serves the purpose.
Ecaterina and her boy friend were very nice on the first evening, welcoming us with orange juice.
After a short night - we didn't quite enjoy the place - an american breakfast was waiting.
When it came to paying I was surprised to hear that the garden house was much more expensive than the king bedroom we had made the reservation for. She pointed out that they were so kind to accomodate us even they were booked last night. I could not believe what I heard. This was very unprofessional behaviour, first to not have the correct room ready and second to charge a higher price for a room I had not made a reservation for.
Immediately their friendliness was gone.
I obviously did not pay the amount she requested but what I made my reservation for- and I have serious doubts about the place being an official B&B with paying correct taxes etc. - since it was a cash transaction without any records.
