What a lovely surprise to find this darling gem in Palm Springs. If you blinked when you drove by you would miss it and what a shame that would be! My sister and I had the double queen room with a spacious bathroom and a kitchenette with a table for two. Open your door and presto! You have a beautiful pool with clean contemporary chaises and umbrellas. Tracey & Misty keep your fridge stocked with soft drinks and bottled water (and extra water on hand in the communal kitchen).

There is no bar (which is fine...we bought our own) and the ladies are almost always available for a drive downtown (5 minutes by car). Piped tunes from the 50's, 60's and 70's add to the nostalgic feel.

I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place. It's inexpensive (we travelled in off season), clean and extremely hospitable. We enjoyed days in the pool and evenings chatting with fellow guests.

A wonderful little place.

I could go on and on and on and on. What I will say about the Desert Riviera is that EVERYBODY on staff is obviously on the same page. Their job is to insure that your stay worry free! There is absolutely nothing you have to worry about during your stay! Why you ask? Because they have taken care of EVERY amenity. The only thing you need to provide is food. You have full access to the fridge and freezer (filled with all condiments and beverages), two large, fully equipped gas bbq's, large kitchen (if your own kitchen isn't large enough) filled with every spice cookware needed, and immaculately cared for pool and grounds!! The Desert Riviera is literally an oasis in the desert! Within the walls of the perfectly manicured hedge lies a very nice pool and deck surrounded by 10 rooms that are incredibly clean and comfortable. It feels like you have stepped back in time...very retro, yet stylish and effective! If you insist on "glitz and glamor" find a different city to spend your vacation...but if you are looking for an incredible place to stay with staff that is ready to provide "over the top" service; book your stay now!

Room tip: Room 4 and 5 are the best due to the pool location, incredible view of the hills and they are located directly under the misters which is perfect when its 105 degrees!

Decided on DRH based on the fab reviews and was not disappointed. Fun retro style and awesome pool. Traci, Judy, Misty and the rest of the team were phenomenal. So appreciated their attention to detail and help with reservations (Johnny Costas was amazing) and suggestions. The owners, Rick and Martha, stopped by with ice cream one afternoon, really made us feel welcome. Truly a special place and we are already looking forward to our next trip to the Desert Riviera!

It is always our pleasure to extend our special hospitality to our neighboring Pacific NorthWesterners! I still remember the special feelings and magic that Palm Springs brought to me when I came here from Oregon.... We are so happy you joined us, and we too, look forward to you "flying south" again to be with us.. and help to dry out those NW "web feet". Thanks again.

This was our first stay at Desert Riviera, but I'm sure it won't be our last. Great little place! Our regular Palm Springs getaway was not available when we needed to make a very last minute trip due to an emergency situation with a close friend, but they highly recommended Desert Riviera. Only one room was available, which was a large suite located next to the office. Tracy even offered to pick us up from the airport! Lovely property, quiet & very clean, & the pool is maintained to perfection. It's a short drive from the airport, & a short drive to the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Tracy was working the office during our stay & made us feel completely at home, as did Jay & the housekeeping staff. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Just a quick weekend get away was needed, following TripAdvisor we found the Desert Riviera. We loved it!!! The place is a mid-century modern gem and the staff was amazing. Relaxed and fun, quiet but near to all that PS has to offer. They found us amazing golf deals and transported us where we needed to be.
