We have been staying at this hotel for a few years when we come to visit our daughter at CMU. We really like the studio - it's inexpensive, we have a queen, a small living area and kitchen. We don't really cook, but like having a larger refrigerator for drinks and sometimes a knife comes in handy for cutting apples, etc. Staff is very friendly. Also like the hot breakfast in the morning. The Courtyard next door does not offer breakfast.

Room tip: Have not had a bad room yet. The last time we were near the elevator and I kind of liked getting in and out quicker than having to walk down a long hallway to get to the room.

We stayed at this Residence Inn on our way home from a wedding in California. It was like the other two Residence Inns where we stayed on this particular trip. It was clean, comfortable and a reliable place to stay. I check Trip Advisor for places to stay and eat whenever we travel and this Residence Inn received a number of favorable reviews. It was close to the interstate (70) and had a friendly front desk staff. They gave us a first floor room when I asked for one. There was a social hour the evening we stayed there (a Tuesday). In general, the days Residence Inns have a social hour are usually Monday through Wednesday or Thursday (for the one we stayed at in St. Louis, Thursday was dessert night) We had nachos the night we were here, which were good. Included with the nachos were wine, beer and other assorted beverages. The next morning we enjoyed a very nice complimentary breakfast. As with other Residence Inns, our room had a kitchen which included a refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink. If you are passing through Grand Junction or planning on staying a few days, I would recommend you consider this Residence Inn

Clean, bright rooms, standard breakfast in a nice large area. No hot water on our second night. Called the front desk and although they never called back, the water did eventually heat up AFTER my shower. In addition, there is is something in the walls or the ceiling that thumped at regular intervals and kept us awake. Maybe a vent or pipe? We brought both the water and thumping issue up at checkout but the front desk person didn't seem too concerned other than to say that "cold showers are no fun". That would be a correct statement and one of the reasons we won't stay here again.

We were using this hotel on our trip from Denver to Springdale Utah. It is conveniently located just off the interstate. Easy to find. The hotel itself is comfortable although a bit tired looking. Get a room on a low floor as there is only one elevator and it is very slow. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are OK with good beds. The breakfast in the morning is limited but enough and it will get you bright and early on your way. As a transit hotel it serves it purpose but it would not be my first choice for an extended stay.If you are driving into Utah get an early start because the terrain you are going to drive through is magnificent and you want sufficient time to turn into the rest area's.
