The staff was very helpful and pleasant throughout the hotel. The pool was cleaned every morning. Housekeeper vaccumed everyday which is a plus because of the sand you try not to get in the apt.
It’s not a large pool so you will want to pick your times when to get in but it is heated and very clean. Truly a family atmosphere. Being parents ourselves the kids didn’t bother us at all. There are two bldgs. One is on the beach and the other is either in the garden area or the pool area. It depends on what you are looking for. People with kids would like the pool area but if you want it a little quieter during the day stay by the beach. It was always quiet after 10:00 p.m. We stayed in the VIP suite at the pool edge. It has all new furniture, very beachy. Didn’t want to get out of the beds they were so comfy. I don’t know what the other rooms furniture were like but I think we had the most updated room based on what I did see. The other furniture looked a little tired but not a big deal if it's clean.
The only negative was the kitchen is not stocked very well. Pots, pans, cutting board, plates etc.were supplied but if you are going to cook bring salt pepper and spices, pairing knife, strainer and anything else you like to use typically. They do provide kitchen towels. Saved a ton of eating out money by stocking up at Winn Dixie. The only reason we were not prepared because we rent a condo in the summer in Ocean City, MD and it has EVERYTHING. If anything is missing we charge them $50.00 per item, so it stays.
The gas grills are great in the gardens. There are plenty of them too in a beautiful setting. Shuffleboard was in the grilling area and a place called TRAXX was down the street a bit with mini-golf etc., the pier was close. A nice place and I wish we had just stayed there but had to move onto Orlando. That’s another post under Marriott World Center. Compared to this place it was HORRIBLE.
VIP suite is plus!
